Positive Spin 7: Who are you rooting for?

Three on offense. Three on defense. One on ST. :r

Vs. Carolina -- Which 7 players are YOU rooting for?

I firmly believe most of us are e-x-c-i-t-e-d, "up and running" and looking forward to this season opener with positive expectations. As Bulger said, 'no promises' about what they, the offense, can do but I'm thinking it's going to be a real, PUMPED-UP, STRONG SHOWING on the part of the Rams entire roster and the fans entire decibel bandwidth (normal sound and above) ... to finally ... R-O-C-K ... T-H-E ... H-O-U-S-E!

MY magnificent 7, positive hopeful, players game 1 (in no order):

    Offense (3)
    S. Jackson, solid performance.
    B. Romberg, proves himself strong at C.
    A. Barron, controls his stance/play, one penalty.

    Defense (3)
    A. Carriker, proves strong with reliable play at DT.
    P. Tinoisamoa, comes back as himself, healthy.
    C. Chavous, helps secondary w/leadership to keep Panthers only purring.

Special Teams (3) ---> Dante Hall, although not huge, little Dante makes good returns for positive and substantial yardage.

:bash: GO RAMS ! STRENGTH and HONOR !

Well, truth be known, I'm also rooting for Tim McGarigle, hoping that from here on he develops strongly as a LB with the Rams.

I kind of envision him solidifying and improving our LB corps, even if he begins with special teams to gain and multiply his confidence levels while helping the Rams overall defense.

Nice post, if only I could spread the love..................

I would add Hill into the mix. Him doing well against Smith could be pivotal.

I'd love to see Hill shut down Smith. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this defensive line looks, too. Between Wroten's progress and the addition of Hall and Carriker, I've got relatively high hopes.

I'd also like to see our McMichael showcased in the redzone offense.

Seems like Cog will not play this Sunday until he completely recuperates from the ankle. I would have wanted him to start -- would be rooting for him too!

If Richie does not play, I'll be rooting for Claude 'CT' Terrell to have a good game Vs. Panthers.

Perhaps even guard Milford Brown will be called upon but Terrell is more likely.

Great challenge for our OL. :bash:

    Who are YOU rooting for?

Dante' Hall is my choice. Hope he has a big day returning punts. You know what that means? Our "D" is shutting down the Panthers offense.

Bartell--its time for him to prove himself, and if he doesn't...well...we could be in trouble

Re: Positive Spin 7: Who are you rooting for?

Nice post,RealRam I hope you do this every week.

    Offense (3)
    R. McMichael, would like to see him make his first catch as a Ram early, in the end zone preferred.
    B. Leonard, make a third and short, catch a swing pass just keep pounding the rock.
    D. Bennett, use his size to makes some catches over the middle from the slot, like to see a fade in the end zone where only he can catch it.

    Defense (3)
    A. Carriker, proves strong with reliable play at DT. Ditto!
    T. Hill can stay step for step with one of the NFL top WR and makes some plays.
    J. Hall. Like to see him, play the run and get a sack to help take some doubles off Little.

Special Teams (1) ---> All players cover kick off's and punts well, stay in your lanes.

One more Wroten get after it!

Nice, sort of a "two-in-one" effect: an effective D = more ST.

Ah, so much is weighing down on Carriker's shoulders. But the defense, the entire defense, knows every man is responsible and accountable to do his job. AC seems to be mentally ready, almost mature enough to handle the expectations with aplomb; I'd say he's actually looking forward to the challenge of helping the Rams defense improve agaisnt the run.

So yes, Dante Hall is a good choice to root for! :r

I'll be looking for "Bam Bam" to ragdoll Hartwig and Kalil periodically ... I wonder were he were to seize up Ryan Kalil and throw him at DeShawn if that would be considered a penalty, or just another inventive way to stop the run?

Re: Positive Spin 7: Who are you rooting for?

I'm rooting for the entire offensive line, I think the game hangs on their performance. If they can protect Bulger and open up some lanes for Jackson and Leonard, we will win.

Also Tye Hill, we can't let Smith have big plays.
