    Positives from today

GZ came right back with two FG made no hang over... one for 50
Givens has four catches plus 50 yards in the last four games.
Quick made two catches one for 22 yards.
Brockers get his first sack and made a few plays in the back field. Had four tackles his best game yet.
SJ pounded it into the endzone for a TD.
Both Joe Barksdale LT and Shelley Smith LG did a nice job.
    Quinn is still bring it!

I am actually pretty happy with today's game. O-line did a good job. I was very happy to see Quick out there... one foot to the right and he had a TD. Givens had a great game. Richardson had a great game. There is only one thing that I can't shake...Kendricks. He fails to produce and is extremely timid. I have lost all faith in him. Jenkins had a fairly rough day too.

Wasn't Jenkins playing hurt, missed most practice this week? Isn't Kendrick being used to help bolster the OL in blocking most of the time?

I'm real happy with how Barskdale and Shelley Smith played. Shelley needs to start at LG from now on, Barksdale and Hunter can battle it out for LT.

Brockers played like a man possessed today. He had his first sack, had 2 TFL's that both went for -4 yards, and blew up other runs as well.

Wtf is Janoris Jenkins doing? Is he gonna learn? If he starts to stare at the QB one more time...

I really like getting Quick in there at the end to get him some chemistry with Bradford, And he looked pretty good, If only he could have gotten that other foot down.

Barksdale and smith really impressed me today. This is the first game all year where I saw some running room on the left side of our OL and they did a pretty effective job in pass protection too. For guys picked up off the scrap pile, well done.

Boudreau the OL coach is obviously to be commended because he's been taking very marginal talent and getting the most out of it so far this season. He isn't a miracle worker and can't make a scrub like Ojinnaka a football player, but he's done a helluva job so far IMO.

*sniff* *sniff* oh boo hoo, we're not going to the Super Bowl this year

But in all seriousness, I liked the way this team played through all 4 quarters. The way Jax sniffed a TD to make it a 1-score game provided a spark that gave us a glimmer of hope into winning this game. If Spags was calling the shots, this most likely would've been a blowout of epic proportions. This team is still young and today the elites exposed our youth but stay hopeful, as today's mistakes are tomorrow's success.

Barksdale I would not call a player from the streets or scrap pile, He was drafted in the 3rd round last year out of LSU. The Raiders changed coaching staff and schemes. The Gaints and the Rams both claimed him off the wire. He may be another steal.

I really want to see Brian Quick get more playing time.
