Posted w/2:13 to go - Martz made a bad call (even though it worked)

I don't care what the outcome of the game is, and I don't care that it worked. Going for it on 4th and Goal from the 6, w/2:13 to go, and down by 10 is...

INSANE!!!!!

I am NOT enjoying this!!!!!

Calls didn't mean Sh*t in this game, we were beaten by the players on the line of scrimmage.

I disagree. Look at how long it took and how ineffective the Rams had been in the red zone prior to that drive. They're at the six, they may as well go for it. Then you get the ball back, and you only need to get in FG position. You're probably not going to have a better shot at the endzone than there on the six yard line.

cowboyhater - will become famous soon enoughcowboyhater - will become famous soon enough
And another thing...

Although it is the least of our problems, going with the 2-point conversion after our first touchdown turned out to be a BAD IDEA, as it usually is that early in the game.

Well, nothing surprises me anymore with Mad Mike.........but,either way we still needed 10 points..............Its funny that he showed confidence today rather than showing confidence in the playoffs!.....................This guy (MM) is so unpredictable that who knows what's in store for us game to game!!!!!!!!..................This is 1 of many reasons i dont think he's capable of running a team!........If he were a CEO,supervisor, foreman, etc. for a firm or a corporation, he'd had been fired a long time ago!.............but,can't blame the loss on him at all ! Just that he'd better get this team turned around in a hurry or else!

Re: Posted w/2:13 to go - Martz made a bad call (even though it worked)

I loved the decision to go for it on fourth down. With the amount of time left in the game, they were in a position to score a touchdown and couldn't take the chance of not getting back there. Great call IMO.

I agree with Nick and r8rh8rmike I loved the decision because we had a tough time getting that close. If we did not and kicked the field goal then SF runs all the time off but 20 secs. Then they punt the ball and you got to go a lot further for a touch down instead of only having to get to the 35-40 yard line for a field goal. I would have played for a tie because I don’t think SF would have scored again in OT the way it was going.

Re: Posted w/2:13 to go - Martz made a bad call (even though it worked)

I thought Martz had one of his best games as a Rams coach today. just have a gander at our stats. We were let down by the special teams and a mad 2nd quarter.
