The press conference--"A new begining"
I was able to listen to the first 15 minutes of Rams Coach Spags(Lord doesn't that sound wonderful?????) and from his records (8 years under Andy Reid & Johnson, and 2 years under Coughlin) and what he was saying at the Rams podium, it truely gives me hope for the future. He seems like a NO "BS" kind of guy. I like his worth ethic.
OK, Spags now go raid whomever you need to and build your coaching staff and lets turn onto the road back to a division championship and a superbowl somewhere down that road
I can't wait to see what happens in free agency and the upcoming draft
Go get 'em Spags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The press conference--"A new begining"
There were no details. He basically said there would be no predictions or bold statements. That this was about starting something new and building something that can be sustained.
He said without referring to a fancy name for an offensive system, he believes in running the ball and protecting the QB. That's what their offense will do.
He believes he's ready. First he coached LB's, then the entire defense and coaching the whole team is the next step in the progression.
He chose the Rams because of the people. Felt very comfortable with the people he would be working with. Got a good, natural feeling about it all.
He said there would be 4 pillars that they would build on, the first of which is team first. They won't worry about who gets the credit, they will just be concerned with the team first. The other pillars were faith, character and core values.
That's about it in a nutshell. He doesn't seem like a guy in love with the sound of his own voice. He seems like a pretty straight shooter. Appears very confident. Knows they have a lot of work ahead of them. I got a good vibe from him as a guy people will follow personally, for whatever that is worth.

I just saw about 20 seconds of it on ESPN News and I like the no nonsense look to him,I would think we are in for some good seasons with Spags at the helm,I am very excited about this hiring.

You guys got the nuts. Spags is awesome. He came with the 4 Aces package which is envogue now. It might take some time, but he will change your defense into a stalwart.
