Q & A with Randy Karraker-From Shaky
compliments of Shaky at the E-zine
Q:
HAS Steven Jackson settled on an agent? Last I heard, he was considering hiring STL-based Rocky Arceneaux (who also represents Marshall Faulk).
Randy Karraker:
Jackson settled on Arceneault before the draft. That's his guy. They were together in Las Vegas when the Rams drafted him.
Q:
When will Jay Zygmunt begin negotiations with the remaining unsigned draftees? There's only 3 weeks left before training camp begins, so hopefully the signing derby will begin very soon.
Randy Karraker:
Jay is already talking to agents. Most of the time, the majority of choices agree to terms in the week before camp. Shivers and Turner have already signed.
Q:
Even though Ziggy might be ready to talk turkey with the Postons about Pace on July 15, will he have to take a number? The Postons will have a pretty full plate this month, with Julian Peterson in the same boat as big O; not to mention the Postons will be too busy not answering any phone calls from the Cleveland Browns, so that Kellen Winslow Jr. can log some beach time while the rest of the Browns are gearing up for another losing season.
Randy Karraker:
I would anticipate that the Pace situation will be identical to last year. We'll probably see him in the final week of camp. And, Julian Peterson is actually represented by Kevin Poston...Pace and Winslow have Carl.
Q:
What's the timetable and/or batting order of the Leonard Little situation? Will the NFL wait until he has his day in court (and does anyone have the exact date) before deciding upon the appropriate disciplinary action? What are the chances that Leonard might still get to play this season?
Randy Karraker:
Little's people indicate that his case won't be heard until after the season. The NFL historically has not issued punishment until the courts have their day. The guess is that Little WILL play the whole year for the RamsLast edited by RamWraith; -07-07-2004 at 11:46 AM.

Here's to hoping that Hargrove develops into more than a pass rusher and does so within a year.Little's people indicate that his case won't be heard until after the season. The NFL historically has not issued punishment until the courts have their day. The guess is that Little WILL play the whole year for the Rams"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
