QB Sam Bradford Has A High Ankle Sprain
Well, this is a set-back...The St. Louis Rams got some more grim injury news today. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo revealed in his Monday presser that QB Sam Bradford has a high-ankle sprain. The question now being asked is how long Bradford will be out with this injury.
Curiously, Spagnuolo described Bradford's injury as day-to-day, an unusual way to describe a high ankle sprain. He is wearing a boot today at Rams Park, and backup QB A.J. Feeley will take reps with the first team this week. With the next two games against the Cowboys and the Saints, Bradford might not be able to make a difference since he can't play cornerback. However, if Bradford is still out of action for the two games after that, Arizona and Cleveland, it hurts the Rams' chances in their two most winnable games of the season so far.
With Rams down 24-3 against the Packers, I do wonder why Bradford wasn't taken out of the game. Of course, it's Bradford's team too, and he isn't the type that would be willing to sit on the sidelines. It would seem like kind of a prima donna move.
This news comes on the same day the Rams made a trade for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, giving their offense a much needed upgrade at the skill positions.

Re: QB Sam Bradford Has A High Ankle Sprain
That's what happens when you your whole o-line is playing at an amateur level, letting A.J Hawk and damn Clay Matthews fly in and punish your poor young QB. Sigh. Bradford's legs got caught up pretty badly in one sack too.

Re: QB Sam Bradford Has A High Ankle Sprain
I'm betting he starts. Sam apparently said yesterday that he didn't think it was too bad.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: QB Sam Bradford Has A High Ankle Sprain
So wait, it's now a prima donna move to stay in while you're a 2nd year QB who is still developing, and when you need to work on your chemistry with your receivers? Yes, it was a losing effort, and he's going to get roughed up, as seen by the sprain, but really?
Stuff happens, and it's a shame that he'll miss the next couple games potentially, but he needed to be in there to work on obvious problems. Warner barely moved in the pocket back in the day, can we just run Sam in the gun the whole game and not make him move at all?I believe!

The PD article notes that it is not his plant foot. That will make a difference too.

He said he was o.k like AV stated....Roethlisberger and many other QB's have played with the same issue.

Mhmm, he might be "o.k" to play, but I don't know how I feel putting an even less mobile Bradford behind our non-existent O-Line.

I'm confident that Bradford will play through this. Even if he has to play in a wheel chair.
