    Question

Ok look at these ... Question after them

    Rams | Team tenders Groce
    Thu, 2 Mar 2006 06:24:38 -0800

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams have tendered restricted free agent CB DeJuan Groce an offer of about $720,000 which means the team would receive a fourth-round draft pick as compensation if they don't match an offer sheet presented to Groce.

    Rams | Team tenders McDonald
    Thu, 2 Mar 2006 06:23:21 -0800

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams have tendered restricted free agent WR Shaun McDonald an offer of about $720,000 which means the team would receive a fourth-round draft pick as compensation if they don't match an offer sheet presented to McDonald.

    Rams | Team tenders Curtis
    Thu, 2 Mar 2006 06:21:43 -0800

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Rams have tendered restricted free agent WR Kevin Curtis an offer of about $1.5 million which means the team would receive a first-round draft pick as compensation if they don't match an offer sheet presented to Curtis.

    1) Would you rather resign Groce or get a 4th Round pick? Resign

    2) Would you rather resign McDonald or get a 4th round pick? 4th Round

    3) Would you rather resign Curtis or recieve a first round pick? And what are the chances of this? As much as I like Curtis I'd rather have a 1st Round pick.

    3) I would rather have Curtis than a no1 pick, Bruce isn't going to go for ever, WE know what we have in Curtis, a star WR in the making!!!!

Exactly, I think we should definitely keep Curtis, I'd take the other two out though more than likely, but then again it depends on what we can get at that time..

    1) 4th round

    1) 1st round no matter where in the draft, but this is not likely

Ditto. I'd take anything in the upper half of the first in place of Curtis. After that, there's just too much of a risk.

Pretty much. If someone in the top 20 offers a first round pick for Curtis, though incredibly unlikely, I'd let them have him. That said, I don't think anyone views Curtis as a player worth a first round pick.

    1) resign
    2) 4th round
    3) 1st round pick-worth more than curtis but unlikely to happen.

I agree and although not a big deal Curtis will be 28 already this year. He will probably be at least 30 before he can noticeably pass what Bruce can do on the field as the #2 WR to Holt. I like Curtis but I would give him up for an extra upper half 1st round pick.

    Great point about his age.

If the Rams were able to get a first round pick for Curtis and decided to stay there and use it, I think Leonard Pope would become a big target for the second pick, assuming the first is spent on the best defensive player available. But again, the liklihood of a team making him an offer and being willing to part with a first round pick in this draft is slim to none.

I don't think any team would part with a first rounder for Curtis, but if they did, I'd still be nervous on our end. I wouldn't trade Curtis for Kennedy, D-Lew, Canidate, or Thomas, all of whom were 1st round picks.

:football: Please don't move Curtis anywhere! Okay, we know about his age and, true: around the late 20s, early 30s, nobody that already is a fast athlete becomes a faster one.

But KC is one of those WRs with great hands and a great knack / nose for the ball (a la Ricky Proehl). Which, hopefully, will provide us with another 4 to 5 years of very reliable performance.
