A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
Heres a question do you think that would win over the Fans, if HAZ was hired and Martz came in as the OC....??????????????????
I would just love that combo, man thats won me over...
and I'm getting the feeling that HAZ WILL get the job.....I just feel it, could be wrong BUT.....

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
Just goes to show that Hasslette is pretty smart. Never in my wildest dreams would i have thought that Hasslette would consider Martz after the rivalry that brewed between the two of them. Jim is a sneaky guy with some type of strategy to bring the fans back into the dome. If this happens you know the Rev Ike will be back also.

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
Although I'm say 50-50 on the Haslett Martz thing. Wins Wins and more Wins is what is going to bring the fans back.
Imagine the heat this duo will take if we continue down the losing path we are on now?
It will get real ugly!

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
I was calling for Haz to be hired after the dallas win, so id seem like a flip flopper if i disagreed with him bringing back the most successful Rams coach in recent years.

I hate the idea. I just want a fresh new start for this team. Hiring these 2 just seems like going in reverse, to me.

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
If Sanders runs a version of the Martz system , what would be the difference in having him , besides there would be more passing. I think a mindset change is needed as I have posted somewhere else ( that i can't remember where ) .
I refer to the STEELERS . they have allways been a rock solid defense anchored by awesome defensive lines and linemen , and a all -weather smash mouth run-it-down-your-throat running game , again anchored by an awesome OFFENSIVE line and linemen . This foundation never changes , even when their coaches have changed . that is what we need to focus on i'n my opinion . And i believe that is why very marginal QB's have been successful in the past . ( MADDOX - STEWART - even BATCH ) I t all starts with a defense thats stops and takes away , and a offense that just runs and gets stronger as it goes before hitting the big passes .
thanks , thats all folks .

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
At least we would be guaranteed some entertainment off the field as well as on it.
Haslett and Martz, who ever thought we would be having this discussion?
Cool stuff! It would be nice to score some points.
I would do it just to get bruce back a ram!!!
The way Holt appears to have no tried too hard for the most part of the season and his comments preseason on avery and his comments on the rookies getting tto much ball, Bruce never made these comments when holt became the goto guy here.
We let the wrong guy go. I would love to have bruce back. I know, OFF TOPIC!
I Think it would sell seats, so Masslett might just happenThe Breakfast Club. You want cheese with that?

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
EXACTLY. Haslett is showing his wits with his idea of Martz. Up to that point the only thing people wanted was to NOT bring him back. This just goes to show Haslett has had something up his sleeve throughout the season to help ensure his stay, and now that I think of it, the combo sounds intriguing..
dont get me wrong though im still rooting for Ryan!!!

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
I agree that Haslett is pulling the rabbit out of the hat with Martz, if Capers would come along with the deal this could be what is needed with out shaking the whole house down. If not Ryan would be my pick.

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
Has Haz even said anything about bringing him in? I thought Martz just said he'd like to go back to the Rams as the OC, but only if Haz was the head guy.
Haz may have said something, but I just haven't heard/seen it.

Re: A question on HAZ and MARTZ??? TOGETHER
I don't want Haslett back regardless. This guy presided over one of the worst defenses in the league the past three years. Hiring even the best coordinators in the business won't make a difference. If Martz was so great, WHY didn't SF start winning? Were the Lions saved by Martz?
Haslett can try to get the all-star staff he wants, however, it can't erase the fact that he doesn't deserve this job.Last edited by laramsfan73; -01-10-2009 at 09:50 PM. Reason: spelling
