A question to the people who think Bradford is not the Answer.

When you see guys like RGIII, Cam, Luck, Russell Wilson and even Kapernick/Weeden all have some immediate success.

I think this is part of what frustrates people. Bradford had a decent season for a rookie, but that's old news. Right now, there are two rookies sitting in the top ten in QB rating in ESPN's list of player rankings, and two more second year players in the top 15 (among players with at least 196 attempts). Kaepernik would be up there, too, if he had enough passes to be listed. Bradford is sitting at 20th among "qualified" quarterbacks. Now I have no doubt that with better protection and/or better receivers, Bradford would be higher on that list. The question is just whether it's going to be him or someone else who finally leads the team back to winning in the playoffs.

Unless the point is ditching Bradford's cap hit in favor of building a better team around the quarterback first then I really don't see the point.

You can spend picks on quarterbacks until you're blue in the face, but when the rest of the team promises they'll fail, you're just wasting picks that could be spent actually improving the team.

Or to put it another way, one man does not make a team. Or one investment does not make a portfolio.

And that's my humble opinion
