Question on Ty Hill????
After watching what devein hester did to us on MNF, i couldnt help but notice that ty hill and devin hester are very similar, they both have blazing speed and they were both drafted as corners, the only difference i seem to notice is ty hill is might be a little bit faster and he sure is a better corner back, now it leads me to this question, sine we have struggled to find a kick returner and a punt returner then why hasnt ty hill given a shot a the job?? he has superb speed and he is very elusive like hester so why hasnt he even been looked at??

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
I would rather not see Hill returning kicks. He is learning how to be a great cornerback, if he were to return kicks he could get hurt and put a halt on his development as a corner. I would think it would be very likely that with his size and our lack of special team blocking that he would get hurt sometime along a 16 game season. I also don't think he has the bulk to make it past a tackle, in order for him to break one he would have to go untouched, which in this league only happens when your playing against the Rams. :\

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
I dont believe ty hill is to small because he is elusive and has the ability to break tackles. Devin hester isnt much bigger and if you recall steve smith, santana moss and az hakim all made it into this league as great kick returners first, and none of these three have size at all, and before we start playing conserative and not allowing players to play on special teams we must first correct our problems and that is the lack of return game

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
Its not worth the injury risk. the guy is a cornerstone of our future defense. See the saga of jason sehorn, who tore his knee up on kick returns.

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
I agree that there is a possibility of injury, im just sayin that with all the success these young speedy guys are having at KR , i think we should give it a shot and just see what goes from there, But like i said i also agree about the injury part and if you ask me i think hill can be the next champ baily, and you can quote me on that, hills speed is almost unheard of and i cant think of to many corners who can cover the deep ball as well as him, I believe with a little more expierience, QB's will be afraid to throw to his side.

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
Excluding a turnover on defense, Hill hasn't had the ball in his hands since serving as a reserve tailback in 2002. I'm not sure he had any experience at all in college as a return man. Meanwhile, Hester returned 41 punts and 40 kickoffs in his career, and many analysts didn't even know if he'd be an offensive or defensive player coming out of college. Their backgrounds and experiences aren't similar, and I don't exactly see the point of risking Hill's ability to play/start at corner so that we can have him do something on special teams that he has little or no experience doing in the first place.

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
It amazes me how some think that just anyone can come in and return kicks and punts like it's easy. It's not easy, so you can't just stick the "fast" guy back there who has no experience and expect him to perform, along with that, like others have said it's not worth the injury risk to Hill.

Re: Question on Ty Hill????
ok i didnt say throw ty hill in the fire and let him start returning right away, obviously you have to give him work and see what he could do and then go from there, it was just an idea, but ofcourse he would have to be worked with at this position
