Quick break....(speed)
From all this 'which draft pick' hullabaloo!! Call it a quick hit...Who was the fastest Ram player of the modern era....For me, it's a toss up between Alexander Wright and Ron Brown. With Kevin Curtis right behind..Done.(See told you it was quick!)

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Hands down Hakim. He was the biggest compliment we had in Martz's offense. Second I would say "Flipper" Anderson. Speed and break away speed.

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Pure speed it had to be Ron Brown. The guy was a world class sprinter. Has an Olympic Gold medal. Hakim was fast but not that fast

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Brown was fast but I think it was more straight line speed. Getting in an out of breaks and slants Hakim all the way.

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Yes, Brown had that straight line speed, but Hakim had that "break-your-ankles" agility.

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Just a shame his hands were not as good as they could have been.....on occasions.
But I guess there is straight speed, game speed, break speed.
Didn't see much of Alexander Wright play. Wasn't he injured most of the time?? Though I do remember Brown being VERY fast on some of his kick-offs.
I'm sure he out ran (as in pulled away) Darell Green in one game during the mid/late eighties. That is quick..
What was his official 40 time?

Re: Quick break....(speed)
in the regular season in 1989, flipper caught a td pass from everett, it looked like the rest of the field was in slow motion, he simply burned them all off with ease, I have never seen anyone burn a secondary so easily and obviously.
The Breakfast Club. You want cheese with that?

Re: Quick break....(speed)
What about Chris Johnson, the CB/KR from about 3 seasons ago. He got a kick return touchdown against the Seahawks. He said he ran a 4.18 40, he even got it tatooed on his legs

I would have to go with Brown.

Re: Quick break....(speed)
Has anyone turned in a MEASURED (I'm not buying the CJ 4.18) 40 time faster than Hill or Wade?
