If the quote is those Wr's are better than advertised then the offense is clicking by the o-line doing a better job at protecting and Bulger doing a better job at getting the ball out quicker...

That was a tough one to pick, but I finally settled on Bulger sure looks comfortable in that new offense. For the simple fact that if Bulger is confortable it could only mean good things for the rest of the offence.

I went with the WR option. Bulger is experienced and knows what he's doing. Minus Avery, this WR core has me a little worried, so if there are some breakouts, I'd be very happy.

Since there is no "All of The Above" option, I must abstain.

I would have voted for something along the lines of " Our entire offensive line has been released. The Rams D-line beat them like a redheaded stepchild. I'm embarrassed for our organization".

I'd really like to hear all those quotes, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Rams getting their money's worth from Smith. If he stands out, the offensive line is probably working well as a unit, Bulger is most likely getting protection, Jackson is running to daylight, the recievers are finding space, the offense is sustaining drives, the defense is resting......well, you get the idea.

x2. They haven't played very tough the last few years in preseason. It would be nice to see them play with passion even when it's just preseason. That stuff is tough to turn on and off.

I'd like to hear "325 yards rushing, 375 yards in the air - we never thought the Rams would devestate us so badly - I mean 63-3 at the half? Who was it that called the Rams soft? The Rams killed us out there!"

Since that wasn't an option, I took the "Those guys played like this was a playoff game!". If they have a new attitude that shows this early, then we might have some hope for later in the season!

If this were the third preseason/dress rehearsal game, I think that would be a more realistic expectation but, given the circumstances, I think it's one of the least likely impressions the Jets will come away with.

In this first outing, I'm just hoping to see that cohesion and discipline elsewhere on the O-line whether Smith struggles or not. No false starts, bad snaps,no fumbles, missed assignments leading to uncontested sacks or pressure-induced picks. I think that's a tall enough order for a unit with a new scheme, new center, FB, no Avery, and unsettled tackles.

That unit has plenty to prove before they can be used as a baseline for Jason Smith's development, imo.

If anyone's price tag is going to be judged this early, I think it should be Jason Brown's.

I read the first one and decided that I didn't have to read any more. Bulger is going to be playing two to three quarters according to him. I want my QB looking as comfortable as possible. That's also going to give me confidence in the offensive line.

Since this poll is based on a quote I want to hear, I'm sticking with Jason Smith being worth the money!

You make some legitimate points, but I still think a rock solid performance by Jason Smith coming out of the gate would lead to a lot of good things. To hear the opposing team and media singing Smith's praises would be music to my ears. Geez, there's that word "praise" again. Seems it's popping up everywhere.

I voted Lauriniatis, but what I'd really like to hear is:

"They played hard, won the game, and avoided injury".

Re: Quote you want to hear on Saturday from Jets

I put the Rams look like they'll be getting theyre money's worth for Jason Smith..Mainly cause im more comfortable with the others happening( Jackson being a beast, Bulger conforming to new offense well, WR's shining more than people thought, and Long & Laurinitis being "everywhere")..

When it comes to the things ive read about Smith being overcome from the people he was going up against, win or lose i'd hope to hear something like that before anything else..
