    R.I.P. Jake's Steaks

I just came accross a piece of information that may bring a tear to the eyes of sentimental attendees of past ClanRam Bashes...

    Jake's Steaks is no more.

It is now a restaurant called Diablo Southwestern Grill.

Jake's seems to have run into hard times recently. Over the past 3 years, it changed owners, and the menu was altered at least a couple of times. Though the food was a bit inconsistent, I always felt that they were welcoming and accommodating to our gatherings.

Hopefully, the new tenant will be just as welcoming, or we could try another place.

    So long, Jake's....

    You'll be missed.

I must admit, for me, it was more about their banquet room than anything else. Jake's, Jack's, Jimmy's, or Diablo's, I just like the big, open space. As you said Av, hopefully they'll be just as accommodating if we opt to have the Bash dinner there.

    Re: R.I.P. Jake's Steaks

    Shame.

They were very accommodating on both my visits in 2000 and 2001. Made friends with the staff and got to hang out with some of them in the evenings after work.

Even took one of them to the Rams v ****** game in 2000 with my spare ticket.

    Great times.

This is great news...now maybe Barry won't be able to find the place...

Given our FA signing, I'll give you a chance to re-word that.

    Go Rams!
