    Ram-blings-12/07/2007

    ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

Brandon Williams (ankle) hasn't practiced this week, so Marques Hagans probably will return kicks and punts Sunday. ... Others who sat out Thursday were Frerotte and tackle Rob Petitti (concussion). Defensive end James Hall (ankle) was limited.
    Rams may add a QB

The losses this week of Hill and wide receiver/returner Dante Hall (ankle), who is headed for injured reserve, opened two spots on the 53-man roster. One will be filled by rookie cornerback Darius Vinnett, a promotion from the practice squad.

The other is expected to go to free-agent quarterback Todd Bouman, who was at Rams Park on Tuesday for a visit and a physical exam. "I don't feel Gus (Frerotte) would be able to do anything on Sunday, so it's a good chance we'll have an insurance quarterback this week," Linehan explained. "We'll see what we'll do with the roster next week."

With Marc Bulger (concussion) out last week, Frerotte started against Atlanta, and Brock Berlin was the No. 2 quarterback. But Frerotte suffered a partially torn labrum in his right (throwing) shoulder.

Bulger made it through a second consecutive full practice Thursday. Still, Linehan wasn't committing to making him the starter vs. the Bengals.

"It's premature to say until we get through a full week of practice," Linehan said. "I think it looks very favorable."

Tood Bouman, ex Viking when Linehan was there. Oh well, just 4 more games this season then it's put up or shut up time for Linehan.

Why couldn't we be combined with teams that were good. Linehan is killing us.
