I wouldn't argue with that statement. The problem is the "IF". IF we had a better than average O-line. If we had a top-tier (or, at least above average) defensive unit. If we had a significant running game. That's a lot of "IFs". I'd also add, IF we had an OC that knew how to scheme for the talent available to him on the team.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Nor are we playing single's ping-pong.

Brady is not 4-0. The Patriots are.
Bradford is not 1-3. The Rams are.

Brady's individual performance has been no better than Bradford's.

To say Brady's individual performance has been no better than Bradford's is a stretch to say the least. Brady's on field command of the offense is head shoulders above Bradford's. Bradford needs to take charge and kick some butt out there if it's warranted. He needs to gain that same respect in the huddle that Brady demands and gets. We need a field General, a guy that's going to get after his receivers or O-lineman when they aren't pulling their own weight. Now I'm not saying he should be yelling and screaming but heck get in their faces a little. Question what and why....

Is it? If it is, it certainly hasn't translated to the scoreboard. Unless of course, Brady's presence is so great that he commands the Pats' Defense to keep points off the board. If that's the case, I truly am impressed.

Their Defense is winning those games.

Spot on point. Brady has command over an offense that ranks 20th in points per game, but it's the New England defense that ranks 6th in points allowed per game that is the reason they're winning. Brady is simply along for the ride.

I'll give you the Pats defense has played well against 2 rookie QB's and a now benched starter. However last night the offense lead by Tom Brady and a bunch of rookie/no name receivers put up 30 points.

And yes, while the Pats defense has been a big reason why they've been successful this year, New England doesn't win last night if not for the performance of Brady and the offense. Furthermore, they certainly don't win in Week One without Brady's game-winning drive to put them in field goal position.

I know people don't like giving the Pats credit for anything, Brady especially, but Brady's been a big factor in as many wins this season as the Pats defense has.

Sammy Bee is now officially under 8 tons of pressure (I chose his number). Rams coaches, receivers AND SB need to get their act together. P R O N T O.

I don't want to see Bradford become a "could have been".

Re: Ram Bytes: The deterioration of Bradford

Here is the funny thing when it comes to Bradford and his defenders. At the beginning of the season they were rejoicing that he would get a second year in a system and that he finally has weapons. 4 games in and his problem is the system and the weapons. Is he ever going to be held accountable? Can it be possible that a big part of the issue is how he PLAYS in the system and how he utilizes his weapons?

The defense leaves the Patriots in a position where Brady can stage a comeback if necessary. Regrettably the same cannot be said for the Rams.

That argument might carry more weight if the system's architect didn't do the exact same thing in New York.
