Ram dynasty?
Has anyone considered that, 5 years from now, folks will look back and say that drafting Chris Long, Justin Smith, Rodger Saffold, Sam Bradford, Mardy Gilyard, and James Laurinaitis in a 3 year span formed the foundation for a long playoff run and perhaps even some championships?

Re: Ram dynasty?
Yes.
I know it can be frustrating in the short term but long term I think Spags and DeVaney are building this team for success. Not a one year miracle but a playoff and super bowl contender year in and year out.

Re: Ram dynasty?
Justin Smith has been my favorite ever since we drafted him! Just can't remember what position he plays...

All jokes aside, i love what they are doing with this team. Building a culture where players put the team first and the locker room is full of high character guys. Honestly, I can see us passing teams like the Jets in the future because of the culture DeSpags are building.

Re: Ram dynasty?
As C-Mob stated in another thread, we're laying the foundation now for future success. We may get complainers who are upset that we passed over the sexy or flashy pick, but these picks now are giving us the opportunity to go after a Dez Bryant or a Jahvid Best in the coming years, because we'll have (gasp, dare I say it?!) the luxury of being able to pick someone that's not filling an immediate and crucial need for our team.
Being a fan now is an exercise in patience, but the payoff will be well worth it for this organization.

Re: Ram dynasty?
Lets get a winning season or at least a competitive season first. Despags may not be around for the dynasty if we dont have one soon, let alone 5 years from now.

Re: Ram dynasty?
BI agree with txram on pretty much every post he writes. Guys we haven't done anything yet. Ya in our eyes we have had a couple of solid drafts that is laying the foundation for a strong nucleus for our organization But they still have to produce. I am sure half You guys posting thought Brian Leonard was a good pick a few years back or that Adam carriker was gonna bring stability to the run defense.
I know I'm sounding pretty pessimistic but Nothing is guaranteed yet. The rams still have to produce on the field point blank. The future looks bright for once in years .

Re: Ram dynasty?
Adam Carriker, had me scratching my head because why draft him out pf position and Brian Leonard had me going WTH because why draft a fb in the second round..

Re: Ram dynasty?
No, that really didn't occur to me. The defense still looks to be in desperate need of a makeover before we're anywhere close to competing for championships.

Re: Ram dynasty?
Let's just say I'm not as pessimistic as I have been in the past. How's that?

I'll even go one better Theodus. Every year lately, I've had at least one player on my watch list that if he doesn't step up and play well he needs to go.
Right now, not one Ram is on my list. I don't have a list which for me is a VERY optimistic view of the future.

Re: Ram dynasty?
The Rams A dynasty? Do you mean something like the old 80's Arron Spelling TV show? That could happen. At least the boys will finally start to get more television time.
