    Which Ram Will Truly Surprise?

Is there a player on the Ram roster who, though considered a back-up or a role player or just plain marginal, you believe will emerge as a real contributer this year?

I'm still holding a bit of hope for D-Lew moving to DE, but I think Chillar could earn a paycheck. If he can get in the game it will be nice to see a pair of 250 lb LBs in our defense.

Reggie Hodges. I have a very good feeling about the new punter. He is going to help as part of the most improved part of the squad, the punt coverage unit. Of course, suggesting that it will the most improved isnt exactly going out on a limb given that we were the worst punt coverage unit of any playoff team since the 1936 decatur stanleys.

I have a strange feeling this Jerome Carter is going to turn into a good player and beat out Atogwe at safety. No facts just a gut feeling about the guy.

Hey, I've been reading a little about another one of our rookies, LB Clifford Dukes.

He did very, very well at Michigan St. as a LB/DE (Leonard Little type of defender). Not sure about him 'truly surpising' as a Ram or if he even makes the squad but his performance got my attention, potential wise.

I really like JK Rams answer on this. If he is correct, and martz matures a bit in his game management (especially just a bit more emphasis on the running game, not an overhaul mind you, just a bit of a change), there is probably more upside for the team than the performance of any one individual player.

Here's hoping that Mad Mike will Pound the Big Boy from time to time.

I voted for D Lew to break out. However, I agree that Carter and Atogwe just might surprise some people. I'm hoping for a vast improvement on the D side of the ball :ramlogo: ...

I Dont Know If This Will Be A Surprise Or Not But I Think Orlando Pace Will Dominate This Year,as We All Saw Last Year He Wasnt The Same Pace We Are Used To,since The Contract Crap Is Behind Him Now And He Will Have Training Camp(which Every Player Needs) I Think He Will Separate Himself From Ogden And Jones And Become Once Again The Best Tackle In Football.

I am torn between Reggie Hodges and Madison "Hammertime" Hedge****. Since GC went with Reggie I will go with "Hammertime" as I think he will prove to be the real deal!

I say Michael Stone. When's the last time we had a real special teams superstar on the roster? On top of that, it appears he might even be a big contributor on defense.

Gotta love the depth of the secondary this year.
