2008 NFL schedule is here:
Rough start: Rams get Giants, Cowboys early
By Jim Thomas
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
04/15/2008
There’s no treading lightly when it comes to the Rams’ 2008 regular-season schedule; they get thrown right into the deep end.
Beginning with the season opener Sept. 7 at Philadelphia, the Rams play all four teams from football’s toughest division in 2007 -- the NFC East -- by mid October.
The Super Bowl champion New York Giants come to Our Town the following week, in the Rams’ Sept. 14 home opener.
Then it’s off to Seattle in Week 3 to meet the four-time defending NFC West champions -- the Seahawks. And there’s more. Before midseason, the Rams play NFC East power Dallas (at home) and travel to New England to play the defending AFC champion Patriots.
Isaac Bruce fans must wait until Nov. 16 to see the former Rams great -- reunited with "Mad" Mike Martz -- when St. Louis travels to San Francisco. The ***** don’t come to St. Louis until Game 15, on Dec. 21.
The Rams have a bye after just four games, matching the second-earliest bye since the move to St. Louis in 1995.
And for just the second time since the move to St. Louis, the Rams don’t have a prime time game. The only other time that happened was in 1999

6 Oct. 12 at Washington Redskins 1 p.m.
7 Oct. 19 Dallas Cowboys 1 p.m.
8 Oct. 26 at New England Patriots 1 p.m.
9 Nov. 2 Arizona Cardinals 1 p.m.

12 Nov. 23 Chicago Bears 1 p.m.
13 Nov. 30 Miami Dolphins 1 p.m.
14 Dec. 7 at Arizona Cardinals 4:15 p.m.
15 Dec. 14 Seattle Seahawks 1 p.m.
16 Dec. 21 San Francisco Niners 1 p.m.

That first half is brutal. If the Rams can survive, though, they could clean up in the second half of the season.
No night games (not a huge surprise).
Bash - September 14 vs. N.Y. Giants?

Re: Rams 2008 Schedule (Hot Off The Press!)
This is a brutal schedule. We knew we would have a tough time facing both the NFC and AFC East. When we play Miami and Atlanta we'll see what we missed in the draft. I hope we get to play well enough to secure a Sunday Night Game towards the end of the year.
Go Rams!:r

Re: 2008 NFL schedule is here:
Rough start. Our O line will get immediately tested in weeks 2 and 3. Trent Cole in week one and Chris Kasay in week 4 aren't shabby either.
If we can have a respectible record leaving october(3-4?) we should definitely be in the running for the playoffs with the second half of our schedule, which includes five bottom seven teams(Miami, Atlanta, Jersey/B, and SF twice) out of the last nine games.

It's the first home game vs the Giants...gonna be brutal.
I can see it now....we'll be 1-3 at the break and 2-5 after week 8 and SLOP will be screaming for Linehan's head...will they care that thos 5 losses are aginst the best teams in the game? Nope, cause logical thinking is not something SLOP members do.

Will we watch on a TV in an empty parking lot next to the dome?
How about the 28th, against Buffalo? Better chance of winning than against Jersey/A.

SLOP will certainly take the schedule into account when evaluating Linehan next year. If the Rams play well, but are beaten by better teams, SLOP will acknowledge as much. If they fail to compete, SLOP will not remain silent.

Re: Rams 2008 Schedule (Hot Off The Press!)
I'm so pumped!!!
I hate how everyone is assuming we'll get killed due to the past season records. ****, everyone is 0-0. We won't find out how brutal the schedule is until we play the games

Giants ARE the home opener.
