Man, to be honest, I don't see the Rams getting in the wildcard. Anything can happen though!

I don't see it either but we can hope. There is no question we have to win out. Especially that last game in Seattle. That actually seems harder than banking on Sea and Chi to lose.
Because seattle can easily lose to the niners before they see us. And chicago could easily lose to both GB and Det.

Re: Rams, 5 Other Teams In Running For 2 Wild-card Spots
We have a chance boys, c'mon. The Cowgirls just lost Dez Bryant for the year, HUGE hit to a team thats heavily depended on him the past 3 weeks. The Deadskins just lost their QB who may miss next weeks game, plus they have a tough schedule. The Vikings we play this week, and after that have a TERRIBLE schedule. All we need is Seattle to lose to the *****, and we MUST win out, especially week 17 at Seattle.
LETS GO BOYS! DO IT FOR SJ!

If we beat the Vikings On Sunday.....then playoff talk will certainly heat up and the prospect will be much more feasible......essentially, the Rams are in the playoffs now so to speak. I am sure Fish has them in that mindset.

Re: Rams, 5 Other Teams In Running For 2 Wild-card Spots
Before the Monday night game, this is how I prognosticated how the season would end.
Falcons 14-2
Pack 12-4
Seachicks 11-5
whiners 10-5-1
Skins 10-6
NY G 9-7
Bears 9-7
RAMS 8-7-1
While there is a chance that the Giants and/or Bear lose out, and that the RAMS could win out, but I don't see it happening. If the season ends as I have it above, do you think any of the sports media's talking-heads will be crying about a NFCW team with a better record being the visiting team when a NFCE team with a lesser record would be hosting the game? Actually, in the above, one of the ESPN chearleaders will, as his favorite team would be on the road in Washington.

Re: Rams, 5 Other Teams In Running For 2 Wild-card Spots
no idea, people didn't think the rams would even phase the niners, not the seahawks either....heck some people didn't even think they could beat the CARDINALS again
i think the rams, although not in a pretty fashion, are turning it around extremely subtly
i'm thinking playoffs

Re: Rams, 5 Other Teams In Running For 2 Wild-card Spots
If you're asking me, it is more my lack of faith in the NFL to give the any team, let alone the RAMS, a level playing field in Seattle this year. That is the only RAMS loss I predict.
While the officials have given a WHOLE LOT LESS assistance to our opponents the past two weeks, they still have not given the RAMS a level playing field. Given what the officials have "given" to the seachickens this season, as far as "home cookin'", I highly doubt that will change in game 16.
I mean, even the league defended the most ludicrous call in recent sports history. Do you think they were being "objective"?
If the officials don't kill RAMS' kick/punt returns (normal or TD) with ticky tack/bogus penalties, and they don't extend seachicken drives with penalties they aren't calling against the seachickens, the RAMS go 3-0 the rest of the way. I just don't think the officials can break the habit of screwing the RAMS. It's in their nature, and possibly the the hidden rule book.

If the whiners lose out and the seahawks beat the whiners, and if the rams win out couldnt we still win the division?

Yes, If the RAMS win out, the whiners lose out, and the seachickens lose their other two games, the RAMS would tie the whiners and beat the seachickens. The RAMS would then lead the Division with with the tie-breaker over the whiners.
If that would happen, it would be SO AWESOME!! I'm giddy right now, just thinking about it.

Re: Rams, 5 Other Teams In Running For 2 Wild-card Spots
The Rams Superbowl would be the Seahawks game and play spoiler.
** Likely for the Hawks they will be playing for their playoff lives counting on them to finish off Buffalo without much difficulty. Further the 49whinner game they would be more focused on mostly since they likely fear that game more then the other 2. Should the 49whinners win, they would be desperate to win vs the Rams.
**For the Rams to cook the Seahawks goose and end their season, that would be most sweat, best Christmas present possible.

Not to discount the vikings but man I'm scared of that tampa bay game more than anything. If we win both I'm not worried about the seahawks game because jeff fisher will get them ready for a playoff type game. But man that buccaneers game scares me
