Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
The Rams are ranked #8 in the entire NFL! When was the last time that we have seen something like this?
8. St. Louis Rams

Ask yourself this: Would you want your favorite team playing the St. Louis Rams in a one-game playoff to the postseason?
Jeff Fisher's Rams are for real, and that was on national display in Week 5's Thursday night game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams did what the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles could not: They beat the Cardinals, and they beat them soundly.
St. Louis' chances of finishing the season as a wild-card team may be remote, but at 3-2, they're very much in it at this point. If we're talking about teams you'd least like to play, well, the Rams are very high on that list.

THE DREAM TEAM

That's a little higher than I would point them right now but you can sense that some of the media have caught on to the fact that this edition of the Rams are NOT SOSAR whatsoever.

Re: Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
yea, i remember seeing this earlier. as much as i like what the rams have accomplished so far, that is way too high. i think we should be at about 15. now if we go into miami and handle business then maybe that top 10 ranking would be more reasonable. if our offense could start to get into synch as much as the defense, i could see the rams doing some damage.

Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
If the rams can go down to Miami and dominate on the offensive side and win 27-13 a score like that then we would warrant a top 10 ranking.

Re: Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
We are 3-0 at home and 0-2 on the road. Our next game at Miami will be a big test for our boys. A win on the road no matter who it's against will push us up the rankings some more.

Re: Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
rankings schmankings...
sorry guys. my skirt just don't get blown up by the hot air these fools circulate. I appreciate the respect they're finally showing... that's great for the Rams and its a bit of vindication for them; but true rankings are determined on the field. Rams aren't 1st in the nfc west, in fact i think they're 3rd, but they're only 1 game back i believe. That's whats relevant; that's what will dictate playoff seeding.
I called my grandma from Shreveport, LA, (she's an LSU fan) a couple weeks ago and she was talking about how when USC lost to Stanford, that put LSU into 2nd place. I didn't have the heart to explain the difference between a BCS ranking and "2nd place" .... but at least in college a BCS ranking impacts whether you can play in the championship. In the nfl, a ranking is just an opinion among opinions.
sorry to be a pooper. i guess I just don't understand what all the exclamation points are about. Educate me if you think i'm wrong... i'd be happy to be wrong. i'm married so i'm used to it.

Re: Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
You're right power rankings don't matter. And all websites have us at different spots (for example espn has us at 18). I believe we deserve to be right under 15..maybe 16-18. I think espn got it right
This doesn't mean the whole season. But for now I see us as a 16/17. This can easily go higher . as our offense, team, divisional and overall wins keep improving

If it weren't for those two loses we would probably be top 5

Re: Rams #8 in BR Power Rankings
I honestly think we're still a 13-17 ranked team. Despite those two major wins the last two weeks, our offense is and will be a huge liability that will determine the outcome of future games. It's amazing how quality coaching can get a depth-deprived team so far.

The only numbers I am concerned about are the ones on the win & loss columns.
