Rams add offensive lineman to roster
By Bill Coats
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
09/25/2007
The Rams made a move Tuesday to shore up their injury-riddled offensive line when they signed tackle/guard Jeremy Parquet.
He replaces Mark Setterstrom on the 53-man active roster. Setterstrom, the starting left guard, suffered a season-ending knee injury Sunday in the Rams’ 24-3 loss at Tampa Bay.
Parquet, 6 feet 6 and 321 pounds, was drafted by Kansas City out of Southern Mississippi in the seventh round in 2005. He dressed for two games that season but didn't play.
The Chiefs released him at the end of the training camp last year, and the Rams signed him in November. He was inactive for the last five games of the season.
Parquet, 25, was an All-NFL Europe selection this year with the league-champion Hamburg Sea Devils. He was with the Rams in training camp but didn’t survive the final cuts.
Also, the Rams offered guard Keydrick Vincent a veteran’s minimum contract, which he declined. Vincent visited Rams Park last week.

Glad to hear he's back on the roster!
Hopefully he will step up whenever needed.

Old kaydrick probably looked at the rash of injury's that we've had on our line so far and probably said. " Your going to have to pay a lot more than a vets minimum to get me on that team!" Oh well, welcome back Jeremy.

Is it butter? No Parquet.

We can use all the o-line help we can get our hands on.

What in the hell did Timmerman do to not even deserve a phone call given the situation?
Did he sleep with Linehan's wife?
Ate too many of Claude's doughnuts?

Re: Rams add offensive lineman to roster
Sigh....considering the fact that apparently no other team has bothered to call Adam either; it is most apparent that his playing career, for all intents and purposes, is finished. And, as a side note, even if he was available, what kind of shape could he possibly be in when he has not practiced or played since last year? Look we all will miss Adam, but it's time that he ride off into the sunset on his tractor at his farm in South Dakota.
WHAT SAY YE?

Re: Rams add offensive lineman to roster
Jeremy was feeling down about getting cut by the Rams at the end of training camp. I sent him a message on Monday telling him that I hoped the Rams would call him. I am glad for him - he is a good guy and I hope he can step up and play well.
Mark Setterstrom will be having surgery next month. The Setterstroms are also expecting a baby in the next six weeks. His wife said that it would be really tough for him to watch the Rams play the next couple of weeks.
The Timmermans are making their plans to move back to the family farm in Cherokee, IA (though Timmerman did play college ball at South Dakota State). I was hoping the Rams would call him back. As you may recall, he played a number of games with cracked ribs before being benched. The man has heart and we need that heart these days.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Rams add offensive lineman to roster
Glad to have Parquet lend a much needed helping hand. I'm sure he'll do his best...given the circumstances. // Best wishes to Setterstrom.
I agree with RAMarkable in that our good friend Timmerman had probably already reached his time to retire (banged up last two years more than McCollum, I believe). He will surely keep a close eye on how the Rams offense will be playing, kind of feeling that veteran's rush to be with his OL mates, plowing the fields with good old Ram power.
:bash: Go Jeremy! GO RAMS!

Jeremy says that we will win.
He gets his NFL Europa championship ring in October and he is supposed to share a picture of it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
