Rams add TE Johnson, cut DT Cudjo

The St. Louis Rams added a tight end and dropped a defensive tackle from their active roster, and did some landscaping to their practice squad.

Tight end Darcy Johnson, the former New York Giant who was in training camp with the Rams, has been signed to the active roster. To make room for him, defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo was released.

On the practice squad, the Rams added fullback Brit Miller and fullback/tight end Jamie McCoy; releasing wide receiver Brandon McRae and running back Allen Patrick.

In addition, three players were brought in for free-agent tryouts: safety Macho Harris (most recently with Philadelphia); linebacker Kevin Malast (who was in Chicago's camp); and offensive tackle Kirk Chambers (most recently with Buffalo). None of those players was signed.

I'm disappointed in this move, not because of the players it involved, but basically it shows that Hoomnanawanui is going to be missing a few games.

I would prefer to see Onobun given a shot behind Bajema too

why do we need 5 TEs granted one is not healthy right now. 3 TE's is more than enough. That says alot about what the coaches think about Onubun preparedness they can't even make him a 3rd TE.
