The Rams have altered their travel plans as Tropical Storm Ernesto moved closer to South Florida.

Ernesto strengthened as it neared South Florida late Tuesday afternoon. As of 4 p.m. CT, the tropical storm now carried winds of 45 miles per hour, moving northwest at a speed of 13-15 miles per hour. Ernesto was 105 miles south of Miami.

The Rams will depart St. Louis two hours later than initially planned on Wednesday and will arrive in South Florida early Wednesday evening. The schedule was adjusted to give the storm additional time to move through the South Florida area.

Weather Channel projections show the center of the storm moving into Central Florida by Wednesday evening.

The Rams made slight adjustments to their Wednesday and Thursday schedules in terms of meetings and meals. However, the effect of the schedule change is expected to be minimal since kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. eastern time at Dolphin Stadium.
