What's that they say about coaches liking to bring their "own" guys in? We just got paid a dividend from the Jeff Fisher hiring. I will credit Hayes to last year, but we just got some out of that deal too.

    Go Rams!

Great great signing. Was expecting a big bidding war over him, but we snuck in and snatched him up. Hopefully we got him for the right price, but I love what he brings to the offense.

    Yep, yep, yep indeed!

Don't know much about this young man, our new Rams Cook, but I've read some very nice things about him overall, e.g., JC was named 2012 Walter Payton Man of the Year with the Titans. Also, he's 6-5 but kind of looks bigger. Might be a welcome help in the end zone.

Cook is now a finalist for the league-wide 2012 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award that will be awarded during Super Bowl week in New Orleans. This prestigious NFL award has been in existence since 1970 and is the only NFL award that honors players who demonstrate outstanding balance in their lives between civic and professional responsibilities. In 1999, the NFL renamed the award after the late Walter Payton as a tribute to his greatness, both on and off the field. Man of the Year candidates were chosen based on guidelines from the NFL that state all candidates should have completed at least 3 seasons in the NFL and be currently playing in at least their fourth season in the league.

“This means a lot to be selected by my peers and to be in the same class as so many Titans legends to have won this award before me,” said an emotional Cook after the announcement. “My mom always told me that when you’re afforded the opportunity to something to help others, you should do it and that’s always been my motivation. A lot of this work has been for my mom, I do it all for her as well as to help others!”
All the best to this promising addition to the Rams offensive arsenal!

Might have something to do with this...

That averages out to 2.2 rec, 29 yds, 0.14 TDs per game, which isn't great.

So as Rams fans, we've got to keep our fingers crossed that a reunion with Fisher combined with an upgrade at quarterback in Bradford can help Cook reach his potential.

Hmm, interesting. I hope it is sour grapes for seeing him leave. Again, I don't know much at all about Cook but he strikes me as being a good young man and a player with considerable / above average upside in his development.

In his first four seasons, Cook posted 131 catches for 1,717 yards and eight touchdowns, including 49 grabs for 759 yards and three touchdowns in 2011

From what I've read, Titans fans think he was inconsistent, lazy, a cry baby, a horrible blocker, one-dimentional, a quitter, and an enormous talent who didn't have what it takes to reach his potntial. Other than that, they loved him.

    Fisher obviously disagrees.

Sure seems like a lot of fuss over a guy who has not really done much.

I see him as more a really big WR than a TE. Kendricks will be on the field in TE a lot. Defensive backs and Linebackers in Seattle and San Francisco thought things were getting easier with SJ leaving. Wrong.

I expect HUGE mismatches with Cook here. We can run 2 TE sets with Cook and Kendricks. That would leave 2 or 3 LB's out on the field. I'll take Cook over an LB or S all day. The only S in our division with a chance of covering Cook is Chancellor, and he's probably not fast enough.

Obviously he's not a neanderthal or he wouldn't be winning awards and the praises of Les and Jeff.

Outside of that, any guy that has great hands, weighs 250 lbs and runs a 4.5, well, how can that not be WONDERFUL news? Just my take ....

If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

He sounds a lot like Vernon Davis before he took off. In fact his last two years his numbers are very similar in production to Davis. Lets hope the Rams can feature him and get him the ball, in this line up it should not be to hard to do.

Check that cook in the endzone! I expect a lot of that next year.
Impressive stuff but that looked like either a sloppy throw or sloppy route; just sheer athleticism on TC's part. Still, huge upside to this guy, imo. And a good counter to the Boldin/Harvin moves in the NFCW for those who like to keep score that way.
