Rams ask for permission to interview Bengals OC Jay Gruden

    Per Rotoworld

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Bernie Miklasz reported on his Tuesday radio show that the Rams have requested permission to interview Bengals OC Jay Gruden for their head-coaching vacancy.

The Rams are getting antsy as they wait for Jeff Fisher to decide whether or not to be their next head coach, as Gruden is the second new candidate to pop up in the past 16 hours. He is also the first offensive coach the Rams have expressed interest in. Lauded for his work with rookie QB Andy Dalton this season, Gruden has just one year of experience as an NFL coordinator.
Another good name to the HC search. He has had success in all different levels of coaching.

Why is Fisher toaking so long? It's an easy choice:Blue and Gold.

His coaching of a rookie Qb to the playoffs after the team was predicted to be one of the very worst in the NFL... Also he has great success in different aspects of coaching. He was a head coach in the AFL for many years. While that may not count for much in some eyes, wasn't the greatest QB we've ever had a QB from the AFL?

At this stage, I want fisher, and will be very happy if we get him, but Im beginning to get to the point where I honestly won't care if he doesn't pick us. This is getting out of hand. Shouldn't take this long to make his decision. Im starting to think (and it may be in his best interest) that he's just going to take another year off, and wait for the Chicago job to possibly open, or the NYJ if they falter again

I still rather have Chud from Carolina come in as a back up plan if Fisher goes to Miami.

Gruden is still interesting prospect though.
