Rams Back in mix for V-Jax

There are "rumblings" that the Rams are back in the mix for Vincent Jackson, according to beat writer Jim Thomas.

The Rams reportedly pulled out of the V-Jax sweepstakes on Thursday according to NFL.com, but Thomas is one of the best in the business. The Rams are in desperate need of weapons to aid Sam Bradford's production and if they get a deal done by today, Jackson would be eligible to play by Week 4. Stay tuned. Sep. 4 - 2:37 pm et

I really don't want him I'd rather draft WR preferably A.J. Green

Sweet! Talk about excitement if we could get this done.

Nice, this can give V-Jax a chance of redemption. Hopefully Spags is the patient guy to get him to build a good character out of the DUI issues and seeing that he'd be going to a good locker room environment and doesn't have that diva personality. It seems possible to do so.

Id give a 3rd and a 4th maybe two 3rd rd picks, if we start talking 2nd and 3rd rounder combined im suddenly not as interested.

    Are you mental?

Having Vincent Jackson as number 1 receiver would make our offence better.

I'd give up a 2nd round/3rd round pick for him.

Bradford, Jackson and Jackson = Play off contenders

I wouldnt go as far as playoff contenders right away but think about it for a second. Can opposing teams bring the SS close in to stop the run on every play? I dont think so, unless they have a shutdown corner that can stay with VJax. And it works the other way around as well. If they want to double up on VJax and give Steven space to run off of passing sets, they opposing defense is at a disadvantage again.

We have till 6 'o clock est to get a trade done and get him off the roster exempt list, or he will miss 6 games, not three. So this could be going down in a few hours. Lets cross our fingers!

It would be a GREAT addition for us as he is only 27, sign him to a 5 year deal and down the road 2 years from now you have SJ 30, V-Jax 30, Bradford year 3 D av gibson, Laurant and Gilyard all in their prime. Not half bad to say the least.

I def like the sound of this. Just for the record I would have no problem giving up a 3rd and 4th and giving him a 5 year contract where he gets top 10 wr money. At some point we need to sign some high priced free agents that will put us over the top.

I would be fine with a second this year and third next year. Top ten money, and hopefully he will be a Top 5 receiver!

Point is - you set your sights on someone you believe will make your team better, you go for it and you get it done. Thats it! No ifs ands or buts.

Jackson is a proven receiver who would bring stability to the position instantly and give Bradchise someone to throw to. I say do it at all costs

7 first round picks, SJax, Laurinitis, and Long? You did say at all costs...
Sorry, I couldn't help myself, I'll stop being facetious.

It's pressure on the Chargers, if he has to miss 6 games they can't demand as much for him.
