Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams rookie OT Alex Barron (hand) has a hand injury and is doubtful for this weekend's game. He played most of the second half against the Houston Texans with a hand injury and is scheduled for surgery this morning. A team source said Barron's status is "very doubtful" for Sunday's game, Dec. 4, with the Washington Redskins.

The Associated Press reports St. Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz wants to return to the field after missing the past six games because of a heart ailment. Martz said Tuesday, Nov. 29, he would ask his doctor for permission to return to his job.
