ESPNews reports the St. Louis Rams have released LB Chris Claiborne.

I would have liked to see him get another year, but whacha gonna do? I really can't see the Rams not drafting MLB somewhere on day one now.

How could this be a mistake. Claiborne has been very average his entire carrier. Our LB have been terrible with the exception on Pisa and he is not great. This is an area where you can really get a deifference maker in the draft. If we get lucky the "Hawk" may be available (Probably not but I can dream). If not go with Huff with the 1 as a safety and go with a good "anywhere" LB with the second rounder.

Hey, I read on ESPN that during this "unknown" cap limit time, that any player released can be pulled off the waiver wire by there own team. So don't count him out yet, and don't count on all of those guys being released being out there either if an agreement is made.

He was released not put on waivers.

It's unfortunate that he's not getting another year after being effectively subbed off the field last year, his first year in his favoured position. Last year was a tough situation to judge him on.

I know that the news on Coakley is officially different, but I really wouldn't be surprised to see him disappear between now and September.

The guy has had a mediocre career - and that may be being generous. I questioned bringing him in here in the beginning.

He was in the middle of some terrible Minnesota Defenses and then the Vikings made two things Public;
1) Our Def stinks, we must upgrade

2) We are not interested in resigning Chris Claiborne.

That says A LOT right there. .

when one is released I believe that they go on the waiver wire for a week usually

Right. The waiver wire is specifically for players who have recently been released.

I thought it was only for guys put on waivers. Because you some times see so and so was released and then others it is so and so has been put on waivers.
