We still have some interesting openings left to fill on the team and I will continue to update the list above as we fill those spots.

Re: Rams coaching and FO changes.

Haslett brought his defensive staff with him from NO. In 2005 the Saints were 14th in total defense the Rams were 30th. In 2004 the Rams were 17th in total defense the Saints were 32nd. In 2003 the Rams were 16th and the Saints were 18th. The most glaring difference is the Saints went from 32nd to 14th from last year to this year and the Rams went the other way from 17th to 30th.

Looking at this list the Ol coach is going to be just as important because we need consistency across the line

Re: Rams coaching and FO changes.

Let's not get too carried away by what these ex-aints did in years past, let's see what they do next season and judge them on their style of play and the win column.

These guys have experience as co-ordinators, so someone at some stage thought they were doing something right.

Most of the guys here have a lot of time for Lovie and rightly so, but statistically his D's never hit the heights. Except for turnovers maybe. Look what he's done in Chicago, he never produced a unit like that here.

So give these guys a little time.

On the offensive side, I like Judd Garrett in particular, as he's an ex-London Monarch unless I'm very much mistaken. He was a great pass receiving RB. Bit of a cult figure, never got the big headlines, but was Mr 1st down.

Well 30th in the league and dead last against the run gets you 6-10. I'd much rather be 14th with our offense rather than 30th.

I agree with you, but if the 30th gave us a 6-10 and loosing against whiners and cards, a 14th may get us a 8-8 maybe 9-7, not enough if you want to go to the playoffs, anyway, I guess we have to wait and see.

Anyhow . . . I'd rather have the worst saints DC ever than our beloved Marmie

Re: Rams coaching and FO changes.

Understand, Haslett was working with a defense that had no offensive support whatsoever. With the Rams, he'll have an offense that can give his defense a rest. Secondly, Ditka decimated two years of drafts with the Ricky Williams debacle. What little talent that was left, bolted after their brief playoff appearance.

Actually, if you go down in order it can get us 11-5, maybe 12-4.
Plus our defense isn't too bad, we just didn't blitz enough, and we have to work on our tackling. The offense is one of the best in the league, if we get a 3rd/4th offense with a 14th defense we're going to the playoffs.

Man I am sorry I posted this it must be bad luck.
We have several openings and no new hires with in the last 4 days. Did Linehan and the FO go on vacation?
