    Rams and fans get slighted?

After looking at the 2007 schedule of Monday Night Games, I am very frustrated. Am I the only one that feels like our Rams are being overlooked?!

Here are few matchups that blow my mind:

Monday 10/8 Dallas at Buffalo.....who cares ( Arizona @ St. Louis makes alot more sense, An NFC west rivalry game instead of NFC East vs AFC East!!)

Monday 11/12 San Fran at Seattle (nice there's an NFC West rivalry game)
Of course St. Louis @ New Orleans would work in that slot also.

Monday 11/19 Tennessee at Denver (I'll admit an interesting matchup)
St. Louis at San Fran looks like another great NFC West rivalry game for that slot. Not to mention the most heated rivalry in the NFC West.

Monday 11/26 Miami at Pittsburgh (why? because Joey Porter is on Miami now?) Seattle at St. Louis is alot more attractive in this slot. Another of the heated rivalry games. Not to mention the 2 games between the Rams and Seahawks last season were very entertaining.

Is it me or are we getting stiffed?

    :x :x

me personally, I hate MNF. It starts late, it ends late, lots of commercials, terrible announcers, and I have to work the next morning.

Yea for no MNF for the Rams.

Yea, I don't like it either, pretty much because over here it starts at 1AM

I like being under the radar. I'm with TX, I would rather play on Sunday.

No Monday night? No problem... A short work week following a MNF are not beneficial. We'll get all the attention (and TV time) we deserve when we win the west and head into the playoffs. Didn't we get blanked on MNF in the 1999 season? Does anyone remember how we did that year?

I will say this about MNF. I love the 6 pm kick-off. Just another beautiful thing about living on the west coast. Just enough time to get home from work, fire up the grill, grab a cold one and get comfortable in front of the big screen. Life is good.

Its our own fault we don't have a MNF game. Two reasons:

    1. The Rams didn't do it last year.

    2. The fans at the EJD (apparently) don't even show up, especially when the cards (baseball sucks) are in town. Why reward a location if the fans aren't into it themselves!

I agree with "itsguud", especially with reason #2, come on Stl fans, you need to show up.

I don't care what day the Rams play on, I'll watch them no matter what, however being that MNF carries more prestige I am a little ticked off about it.If our chemistry clicks right with the guys we have on offense, we will be on 10 MNF games next season cuz were gettin ready to put on a show boys.

MNF is over rated as far as I'm concerned. We'll be in great prime time slots when we're in the playoffs. Folks will know who we are then !!!!!

Well, honestly guys do the Rams deserve it? They've missed the playoffs the last two years. When the Rams are on MNF they haven't lately brought in the ratings.

    It's all about money.

I was not happy about it. I mean seriously the whiners get prime time coverage and we dont? Everyone is talking about whiners and Frank gore yet Stephen is getting ignored and so is this rams high octane offense. I work monday nights so for that I dont care but the fact that we have only one prime time game all year is pretty much an oversight by the league.

Re: Rams and fans get slighted?

I love MNF. It's a prime time event that the entire football world looks forward to. It's a chance to perform on a national stage and be the focus of everyone's attention, fans and players alike. It would have been fun to see the Rams on at least one Monday Night, showcasing what will probably be an offense of epic proportions.

That being said, I have to look back to the MNF appearance against Chicago at the ED, where OUR offense had to go to a silent count to counter the noise being made by BEARS FANS, and I realize we really don't deserve an appearence. That's something we have to earn, on the field and in the stands.
