Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
Despite loss:
1.) We are not in last place. Whiners will lose to Eagles and go 0-5.
2.) @ 2-3 we still have a better record than Cowboys, Vikings, and yes the Lions!
3.) Seattle will probably lose at the Bears.
4.) With a win we can get back to half a game out of 1st place.
Add to my list please!

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
First off, nobody expected us to even be in the division race, and the fact that we actually are right now tells me we are doing OK. You really couldn't be too upset with the first four games, those first two were very competitive and we at least had a shot.
This one looked like the Lions flat out wanted this one BIG TIME and showed several flaws that need to be fixed soon.
We are still in pretty good shape overall in the division race as long as we can learn from this game and not have another game like this.

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
I have to disagree. I am not concerned because we lost in itself, I think we all realized that was a good possibility playing detroit. The problem is that we were beaten down and looked like a bunch of losers. We were beaten in such a way as to bring back into full force the specters of 09.
Losing is a part of the NFL, it is a league of parity, but that doesn't mean you get beaten down like an abused step-child. A lose like this really calls into question the core of the team- a team that gives up in the face of adversity. We KNOW they can play better, but they just quit out there. That is the kiss of death.
We have no hopes in the division race, I think that is what this loss shows. Detriot may be 1-4, but they played their hearts out in each game and struggled through adversity. We gave up, that says alot.
In addition, from a talent perspective, even if we somehow healed this gaping wound, we simply dont have enough offensive talent to compete at this point. Rushing 114 yards (SJAX is still awesome) without an effective passing game in simply re-living 2008-2009.

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
Good post dude, yea, we shouldn't just harp on today's performance... We can't expect to be the best team right away.
I'm happy we're playing well and improving every Sunday. We may have had a hiccup today, but next week should be different!

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
Nearly all teams lose eventually- what matters is how they react to defeat.
Next week, we're back at the dome against a very beatable Chargers team. Let's go out there and prove that yesterday's result was but a mere blip in our upward curve.

Lets hope this is the only loss where we get beat this bad.

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
If the patriots can win with a bunch of no name recievers and a rookie qb so can we. when brady came to the pats they had no big name receivers and they were a 9-7 team going into the playoffs.
So we can win some more games without big name receivers

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
whether we lose by 1 point or 38, a loss still. difference "no heart attack." I think this game was just one indicative of what can go wrong if nothing goes right, and nothing went right. this game was jinxed straight out the gate. (literally)
Ha, ha, ha nice post and why not? has an 8-8 team ever won a superbowl? it could happen.

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
I get it, Mark Clayton (Bradfords favorite target) goes down so the offense struggles. That doesn't explain what happened to our defense and special team though!
C'mon RAMS snap out of it!

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
poor effort by most of the guys yesterday, not sure why that is but it can't continue. we aren't good enough to have guys taking plays off. i kind of expected a game like this but it didn't make it any easier to watch. clayton going down is huge, we really have no passing game once again.

Re: Ram's Fans: Not the end of the world!
I disagree with the idea that a loss is a loss regardless of how much you lose by. It is only somewhat true. It is still important how a team loses. There is a difference between playing well and coming out on the losing end (Someone has to lose) and playing like we played on Sunday. We weren't in that game from the kickoff, and that isn't fun to watch. It counts the same in the standings, but it doesn't count the same with the fans, with the confidence of the players, or in our preparations for next week.
I hope the Rams build off this week and learn not to take a team lightly, because I personally think that is what they did. I just disagree that a loss is a loss regardless of how they lose, particularly for a team that is trying to win over fans. Staying in games, looking like they can win, and playing hard are important, none of those happened Sunday. The Rams just weren't in a good position to have a loss like that.
