Rams' Final Cuts

What 12 players will be gone come Sunday?

Sure Things: Jeff Smoker, Jeremy Carter, Dominique Thompson, Toby Cecil, Dusty McGrorty

Probably Gone: Darnell Alford, Aveion Cason, Brian Howard, Drew Wahlroos, Kevin Garrett

Mild Surprises: John Parella, Jerome Collins

Just Make the Cut: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Madison Hedgecock, Jeremy Calahan, Terry Fair

Comments: I'm guessing Garrett will still be cuteven after the Fair injury. Michael Stone should be able to step in as the 5th CB until Fair Comes back. After the talk of Hedgecock making the roster as a TE, it seems like Jerome Collins will be the odd man out. I think the final spot in the D-Line rotation will come down to Calahan v. Parella. I'm guessing the Rams go with youth here although I'd rather have the veteran presence.

Re: Rams' Final Cuts

My prediction is the following Rams will be cut:

Alford, Calahan, Jeremy Carter, Cason, Cecil, Garrett, Howard, McGrorty, Parrella, Smoker, Thompson, and Wahlroos.

I'm not sure why they'd cut Calahan, Parella, and Howard. I'm certain they'll keep at least 4 DT's.

Yea, that does seem to leave our interior line pretty thin. Would that put our D-line as:

DE: Little, Hargrove, Green, Jackson
DT: Kennedy, Pickett, D-Lew

i think parella makes it, experience alone is worth it.any chance martz carries 4 quarterbacks ? i thought i read that he said it is a possibility.

Re: Rams' Final Cuts

I think parella makes it also and i dont see us cutting both howard and parella, along with callahan. one of them will make it. I dont think there is any way that we are going to carry 4 qb's. smoker is alive in case fitz gets hurt this week.

ramming speed to all

Re: Rams' Final Cuts

Gc, I Admit Fitz Is A Great Story, But I Just Dont Get A Good Feeling About Him, After Watching Smoker Practice At Camp Last Year(i Did Not See Him This Year) I Just Hate To Give Away Talent Like That.having Said That Its Smokers Own Fault That He Is In This Situation, Had He Learned The System He Would Easily Make This Team.

Re: Rams' Final Cuts

Not sure why, after seeing both of them play this preseason, you don't feel good about Fitz but feel confident with Smoker.

Smoker doesn't seem like the kind of player that would ever succeed in this offense.

I'm thinking Tyoka spends time at both DE and DT like he did against Detroit, and that would make Parrella expendable. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay.

Re: Rams' Final Cuts

I think Parrella stays. He's very good in run support.
