Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
I gotta go with Wilkins. Of the 88 Rams points, he has 50 of them. When a guy is 57% of our scoreboard, I gotta give him the nod.

I think atogwe will mature into a good player for us don't forget he was deactivated for most of last season
I'd go for witherspoon if you have to pick only one

Money, with out the points, we don't have a 3-1 record.

Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
This is tough. After seeing the Lions torch the Rams D on Sunday the Defenders in this poll were eliminated in my mind. Wilkins did miss a key FG in the end. Bulger had a great game but SJ has been the most consistent in my mind. SJ is proving that he's a double threat, either on the ground or through the air on those short passes that he turns into nice gains.

Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
I have to go with Steven Jackson. He has been playing well all 4 games. Wilkins gets my runner up pick. Bulger will be up there for the 2nd quarter MVP if he continues to connect with his receivers like he has in the last two games.

Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
The good news is that there are several players that could be considered worthy of the the MVP title. As well as the others have played, I'd still have to go with Will Witherspoon. In my mind, he has had the biggest impact, from a positional standpoint, to turning this ship around. He is a tacking machine that is usually in good position to make a play.

Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
Wilkins is my choice, without his points our record would look real ugly. He has missed a couple semi-long kicks that he usually makes like the 47-yarder last game though, I hope we aren't tiring his leg with as much as we're using him. It's tough not to pick Witherspoon with the impact he's having in the middle though.

Re: Rams' First Quarter of Season MVP
If I had to pick a player as MVP, I'd probably pick Bulger over Wilkins only because it was Bulger who led the drives (in most cases) that got Wilkins into position to kick the FG's. This would exclude the Broncos game, of course, when we had the turnovers in the redzone. But either way, both are good choices.
But the real MVP award should go to Ram management for cleaning house and bringing in a staff of people that had the smarts to change the direction of a team heading into trouble.Faithful Rams fan since 1968
