Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
Saw this on another message board and though to share....
Quote:
The St. Louis Rams, Budweiser, and Russell Athletic are hosting the 2008 NFL Draft Day Party at the Edward Jones Dome on April 26th, 2008 from 1PM to 5PM. Along with the excitement of watching the Rams select the 2nd overall player in the Draft, there will be current Rams' players signing autographs, cheerleader performances/appearances, on-field games, complimentary Pepsi products and popcorn, as well as other concessions available for purchase at a discount.
This event is open solely to Rams PSL holders, Club Seat and Suite holders, and Corporate Sponsors. The Rams are making this event free of charge, but you will be required to have a ticket for admission.Tickets will be available via internet only beginning April 7th, 2008 at 10AM.
Due to limited space and high demand there is a two (2) ticket limit per season ticket account. This does not guarantee that every account will be entitled to select two tickets; tickets are on a first come, first serve basis and are subject to availability.
Tickets can be secured at www.ticketmaster.com/ramsdraftdayparty.Your Rams season ticket Account ID will serve as your password and you will be required to provide it to complete your transaction.Your Account ID can be found on your latest invoice or above your name on this email.Your password can only be used once. For questions, please contact the Rams ticket office at (314) 425-8830.
And sure enough, I'll be in Houston that weekend for a wedding!

I think what he's trying to say is the average fan doesn't get to go, and he's right.

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
"Fan friendly" would be having a troop of marauding, knife-throwin', bowling pin-jugglin', fire-eatin', circus monkeys entertaining the fans. This thing they're having is just lip service...

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
Hard for me to think about a draft day party hosted by the team without getting flashbacks to Miami's draft gathering last year where Cam Cameron nearly got booed off the stage when trying to explain to the fans why they took Ted Ginn Jr.

Especially if Linehan takes a tightend...

Aha! My suspicions are correct! You merely run this site for the millions of $$ in profit!

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
I can picture it now, the commissioner walks up to the podium to announce the second pick and everyone at the event is on their cell phone or discussing the next big St. Louis social event.....

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
My mental image of how they're going to set this up was of the "onfield" variety. How is space limited? Just put the draft video on the jumbotron, set up big buffet/concession in each end zone and charge $10 a head and I bet most fans would fork it over just for the chance to go on the field.

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
Wow! There are a bunch of "Debbie Downers" on this site. I think it is a great idea. Never before have they offered this to PSL holders at least in the six years I have had them. I have gone to one before under Martz and it was a blast.
Go RAMS!

Re: Rams getting "Fan Freindlier"?
It's not that I think it's a bad idea, it's that I don't think you can call it being fan friendly. While it's fan friendly for those of you with PSLs, for the rest of us it's nothing to care about in the least. I can't go, I have no chance of going, so it doesn't much impact me at all. Fan Friendly would be doing something that all fans could attend.
I guess you could call it "Fan Friendish" because it's at least more than nothing.
