On that list, what is the priority of signings?
Curtis
Pickett
Archuleta (if he shows he can play this season)
Lewis
McDonald
Anybody care to dissect my list or offer insight?

Well, if those are the 5, then we should have a fairly to get the one's we want resigned, IMHO. I'd rank them as such:

Assuming these are the only ones....Curtis and McDonald are both RFAs, so we can match any offer. With Curtis I'd match ANY offer, with McDonald I'd match any REASONABLE offer (someone may want to pay him like a #2, but he may never be our #2). Pickett and Arch are both dealing with lingering injuries and may not bring top dollar. And as far as Lewis goes, I'm quite sure someone will offer him more than I would want to. Of course, that someone may be our FO, but I wouldn't invest too much in him."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

I Think Lewis Is Gone, Arch Needs To Have A Big Year, We Will Sign Pickett And Curtis And I Would Like To Keep Mcdonald But I Think He Could Be On The Fence And Of Course What He Commands Price Wise Will Determine If We Get Him Back.

I don't think there's that much money available, but let's not forget that Kurt Warner is finally off the books after this season. The Rams, while standing pat this season, should be able to go out and make a huge FA signing next offseason.

Rams | Cap Hit: Turley
Tue, 7 Jun 2005 07:54:15 -0700
Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the St. Louis Rams must pay recently released OT Kyle Turley $250,000 because of his injury status and he counts an additional $1.82 million of prorated signing bonus money in 2005. They do not have to pay him his scheduled base salary of $3.65 million for 2005. He will count $5.47 million against the Rams' salary cap in 2006 as a result of his accelerated signing bonus. Turley was due base salaries of $4.4 million in 2006, $4.65 million in 2007 and $4.9 million in 2008, which the Rams won't have to pay.
