Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
I hope we bring him in, he's a monster when healthy.Angelo Crowell-LB-Bills Mar. 11 - 3:54 pm et
Free agent LB Angelo Crowell visited with the Lions on Wednesday.
Crowell missed all of last season and probably is only being offered around the minimum. The Rams, Buccaneers, and Eagles have also shown interest.

Another one of those players that I have no idea about.
Whatsoever. So, I'm relying on you 16 to inform us.

Crowell is a monster and the only reason he is the market is he is coming of major injury. He can play the strong side and the middle. He shouldn't be to expensive so he would be a great addition

Re: Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
The guy had 126 tackles in 2007 in starting all 16 games, 82 tackles in 12 games in 2006 and 119 tackles in 15 games in 2004. If he can get back to form then he can definitely be a great addition to the roster, especially if he comes cheap and early so the coaches really have a chance to evaluate him.

What you see is what you get, but what you see depends on where you stand.

Re: Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
Crowell started for the Bills for 3 years prior to 2008. He had become one of their better players. He led the team in tackles in 07'. He hurt his knee prior to the start of last season but I don't know how serious it was. Serious enough to put him on IR for the year.
If he's healthy he's a good player. I'm not sure why the Bills aren't interested in bringing him back though or why there doesn't appear to be a lot more interest in him. The knee must really be a concern.

this would be a good move. let him have a physical and see how his body holds up but he would be a great addition.

Angelo Crowell or maybe even Derrick Brooks if he were to be had at a reasonable price would be great.

Re: Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
I don't know the extent of the knee injury (other than the fact that he was put on IR) but this kind of move does not strike me as one that makes sense for the Rams.
You certainly can't sign him to a long-term deal given the risk that he won't return from his injury.
If you sign him to a short-term deal, and he bounces back to his previous level, then you have to re-sign him for big money.
If the Rams do sign him, I'd hope it would be at a bargain basement price for a 2-3 year deal. Otherwise, I'd pass.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Better yet, maybe, by some miracle of god, Curry will fall into our laps and we won't even have to make this decision. OT in rd 2.
To quote a local Kia commercial: " Do it, Billy".

I do believe he put up those numbers in Buffalo while playing on the strong side too.

Re: Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
As great as Brooks was, he's no longer the same player. And the problem is, even if he still has something left, he's a WILL and that's going to be Witherspoon's spot now thankfully.
Crowell, on the other hand, is a SAM and the Rams could use one of those. He also should still be in his prime, unless the knee has robbed him of that now.
Witherspoon, Curry and a healthy Crowell could be quite a trio though.

Re: Rams have shown interest in LB Angelo Crowell
I'd like to see Crowell as our SLB. He seems like exactly the type of 'Backer you look for... when he's healthy. His injury risk should mitigate his asking price, but it's still a gamble I'd be willing to take.

What kind of injury is he coming off of? If we can get him cheap, why not. Sounds like a monster when healthy!
