Well I certainly hope he's better than Ty Nsekhe. He was certainnly underwhelming when he got reps at RT.

Wonder if its because the Rams are doubting Safford durability

Had to be done, but I'd like a tackle that is heavier than 298lbs.

I'm thinking there are more important attributes than sheer weight. Most DE are under 300 lbs. Long is listed at 270 and Quinn is at 264.

Not concerned with the DE's I'm concerned with the average LT or RT in the league for example Jake Long is 319; there is a size/strength issue to consider here which is why guys usually have an ideal ratio they try to reach headed into camp. Nevertheless, word is that he is just a camp body until Saffold returns.

    Rams have signed D.J. Young
I can't tell you how pumped I am about this signing!!! His urban ballad, "Bust A Move" was the anthem of my adolescence. I can still remember.....

....no, wait; that was Young MC, not DJ Young. Sorry, wrong guy.

Rams signed OT D.J. Young, formerly of the Jets.
25-year-old Young didn't even make it to training camp with the Jets, getting waived following April's draft. He'll be a practice dummy in St. Louis.

He has his own song. It goes something like "dont just stand there, block a dude!"

Re: Rams have signed D.J. Young, tackle from Michigan State

At this time of year, it's important to try out players for depth.
Don't see how this relates to Saffold at all and can't see how it could be linked in any way.

If Nsekhe isn't the guy, they need to find someone as a backup.
