Rams Inactives
Victor inactive yet again. Absolutely puzzling to me ....
S Anthony Smith
S David Roach
G Roger Allen
T Jason Smith
DE Victor Adeyanju
DT Darell Scott
WR Ruvell Martin
For the life of me I cannot understand why third QB Keith Null is active, and Adeyanju or Martin is not.
S Craig Dahl is up, expect to see him play a nickel linebacker role ....
BTW, Rams play lot of Cover-6 from the tapes ....

Agreed, just don't understand. We are getting very little pressure & maybe Vic can add something in the rotation. As Infiniti said "puzzling"

Re: Rams Inactives
Since Spags hasn't been returning my calls lately...lol..., I can only guess that he thinks CJ offers more as a pass rusher than Vic and that the unit has bulk at DT with Ramsey, Ryan, Gibson, and Hollis, all of whom are 300+ lbs to VA's 285. Other than scrub time heroics in pre-season, what has VA offered in the pass rush dept ?
That's 4 DTs and four DEs,right? It may also have to do with keeping Little and Hall, the old men, fresh and effective at the same time.
It's a little more worrisome to me that Scott isn't ready to contribute.
Perhaps Spajole see the wisdom in Deacon's theory, expounded upon during all the coverage of The Fearsome Foursome this week, that the best DLs play the pass & get after the QB first and react to the run as well as relying on the LBs for support.
I think Ruvell's debut which was always more likely to be as an STs ace or, less likely, as a replacement for Burton who picked up his game last week, imo. Sounds like the staff think Amendola offers more versatility/potential impact as a returner and possible new smurfish speedster WR to help spell Avery and stretch the field. That's all Stanley was, imo; a poor man's Avery to run the same speedster patterns.
I also think it can't be a bad thing to have Dahl out there in the backfield ,either. Another guy, like Butler, who understands the Spajole system better because he played under Spags @ NY. Versus the GB WRs , we need to be as mistake-free as possible,no? Maybe he's our TE coverage specialist. Both Spoon and Vobora have sucked as coverage LBs this year. Can't hurt to try someone new.
Go Rams. Win one for The Deacon!
