I was hoping he would bring a whole new dimension to our return game. I guess Amendola will do, but I wanted a speed demon. Any reason why he and Karney are out?

It is disappointing that he hasn't been able to motivate himself and take advantage of the opportunity he's been given. So much potential, but so little mental toughness. He's probably got a huge hill to climb as far as his future.

Jackson is not gonna be happy that his FB is out for the second straight week.

I'll bet Jackson is not happy, especially with recent difficulties running against defenses stacking the box. I'm not sure I get why the Rams are not utilizing a blocking back to help open things up.

I think Karney is battling an injury.

As for Gilyard, I'm not sure if we can waste a roster spot on him next year, he certainly hasn't proved that he deserves it more than Gibson and LR. Real dissapointing, as I hate to give up on him after just one year.

Interesting that Karney is on record as saying the groin is not an issue. For what it's worth, he's also on record as saying he's concerned about his dimonished role.

The "groin" injury is probably more of an excuse more than anything to "justify" de-activating him.

I too was hoping Gilyard would add a new element to our return game and as a slot receiver. I wanted Jordan Shipley at the draft for the same role, so he probably would have been a better pick. But oh well, we had a great draft so i can't complain!

Shipley was taken in the 3rd round round and wasn't on the board when we selected Gilyard.

As far as Jackson not being happy about Karney being out, I would think that he would want Greco in there instead of Goldberg. Doesn't much matter who the FB is if there is no push up front from your guards.
