Just saw that Smith is down, so here it is Quick and Givens.... I read this week that Givens role will be bigger going forward and that Sam and Givens where working after practice.

Did not read at any time Smith had any issues this week... yet he is sitting. I like this move!!!!

Wow, interesting. Pead and Smith both?

Hoping for a Quick sighting today, but its interesting (and a little distressing) that Ganaway is active as the third RB over Pead. Pead has been steadily heading in the wrong direction all season... hopefully he can turn things around.

I said all week sit Smith and lets see more of Givens and Quick, finally we`re going through with it. I have been totally wrong about Pead so far though. I thought he`d be a monster. I hope some time will fix that.

Yeah this is not good for Pead, but he was never going to be the guy getting 30 touches a game IMO. If SJ can't go at any time during this game we still have a bruiser Ganaway.

The Rams twitter seem to be dumb: CORRECTION: DT Alan Branch IS active, DE Scruggs is Inactive.

I can`t wait to see Michael Brockers go! He`s gonna be a straight BEAST.

Thursday, Schottenheimer acknowledged that there are other youngsters in the offense champing at the bit.

“We have got some really talented young players and we need to play them,” Schottenheimer said. “They need to play and that’s how you develop them. It’s not from sitting on the bench and so I think you’ll see us sprinkle in some more guys as we get going here.”

I hope this is the start of Givens and Quick getting some real meaningful reps.

On Thursday, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said it was time for the Rams to play some of their young skill players on offense. He wasn't just blowing smoke.

To wit, rookie wide receiver Brian Quick will dress today against Seattle; he was on the pregame inactive list last week in Chicago. To make room for Quick on the game-day roster, veteran wideout Steve Smith is inactive.

Also up for the Rams today is rookie RB Terrance Ganaway. Steven Jackson is active, after basically missing his second straight week of practice with a groin injury. But rookie running back Isaiah Pead is inactive, making room on the game-day roster for Ganaway. Ganaway is a big power back; and it could be that the Rams are dressing him in case Jackson has a setback.

Also fun fact Gregg Williams will be in attendance at the game today.... As a fan of course.

After just one practice with Rams, OT Joe Barksdale is active. He's next man up if either starter, Hunter or Richardson, go down w/injury.
