Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
Rams injury report grows -- again

The Rams' injury report Monday sounded like a broken record, getting more scratches with each playing.
Cornerback Marquis Johnson was hospitalized because of an abdominal contusion. He will be kept for observation overnight.
Offensive tackle Mark LeVoir suffered a Grade 1 pectoral muscle strain and is expected to be out two to four weeks.
Linebacker Josh Hull re-aggravated a hamstring injury in the first quarter and probably will miss Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Offensive tackle Jason Smith (neck, concussion) was on the exercise bike Monday but experienced some symptoms when he reached 50 percent exertion level. He is unlikely to play Sunday and could be placed on injured reserve.
Wide receivers Austin Pettis and Mark Clayton (knees) were listed as day-to-day, as were defensive end Chris Long (ankle) and cornerback Justin King, who received a shot Sunday because of ankle pain but had an MRI on his knee because of excessive swelling Monday.
Defensive tackle Justin Bannan (shoulder) and linebacker James Laurinaitis (foot) underwent MRIs.
Tight end Lance Kendricks (concussion) could practice Wednesday or Thursday.
WR Danario Alexander (hamstring) ran Monday but reported tightness in his hamstring. Coach Steve Spagnuolo said "we'll be careful this week."
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
Tell you what, I'm done with Smith. Sorry ya got hurt but go be somebody else's EXTREMELY expensive oft-injured tackle. Left tackle pay for a bad right tackle ..... C'mon Billy, let's start here.
Roger, fair warning son.
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
Is the Rams injury list one of the worst in NFL history.? Last season was quite good on the injury front, after all.? Yet it still cost the Rams in some games last year. i.e. Dockery in San Fran.
Not to make excuses for the way they have played, but Id imagine injuries would have a much worse affect, because of the drop off in talent, in a rebuilding team like the Rams.?
This season reminds me an awful lot of the 2007 season. It was Linehans second year as coach. The Rams finished out the 06 season, with a 41 -17 beat down of the Vikings in the Metrodome.
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
Oh my gosh. Laurinaitis and Long injured? Really?
I saw the Long injury, but then he was right back in the game. Wasn't even aware of an injury to Laurinaitis.
It is just getting harder and harder to watch the games as this season DRAGS on.
Is there NO LOVE from football gods for this cursed team? No love at all?
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
The amount of injuries the Rams have is unreal. This year it seems to be DBs and WRs, but weren't your OLineman dropping like flies a couple of years ago? Is it something to do with the strength and conditioning coaches or the practice facility? It's crazy.

You nailed this one on the head. It seems like every year the Rams get beat up at the same position, ultimately ending up in us starting 3rd string practice squad LT's.

Its difficult to get hurt, when your always trailing five yards behind every play.? I bet these OC's are rubbing there hands, seeing this clown active each Sunday.
This guy has made the number 21, famous this season.! The sad thing is though, Spags sees potential in this guy. I only hope he takes his project with him, when he gets canned.

Rams CB Marquis Johnson To Injured Reserve

Losing one cornerback is bad luck. Losing two cornerbacks, starting cornerbacks, is a fluke. Losing ten cornerbacks in a single season, well, someone should probably call Ripley's. The St. Louis Rams added Marquis Johnson to the injured reserve list today, per Howard Balzer. He is the tenth cornerback the Rams have lost this season and the sixth corner currently on injured reserve.
Johnson suffered an abdominal bruise against Seattle last week. He spent Monday in the hospital for observation, but apparently the prognosis wasn't good enough for him to get back on the field this season. Johnson ended up on IR last year; he's played a total of five games since being drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Cornerback Kendric Burney, a rookie out of North Carolina, was added to the practice squad today as well, the unlucky *******. Burney was in for a tryout last week. Small and not particularly fast, Burney is more of a slot, nickel corner who can play the ball fairly well. Johnson had been working as the Rams nickel since his return from the PUP list earlier this month.
The Rams will have to add another corner to the 53-man roster to replace Johnson.
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
I've done a quick study on the bad luck the Rams have had this year, comparing it to my own.
So far....the jury is still out on whose luck is the worst, but it is a fact that neither the Rams or myself should go to any casinos this year.
Re: Rams Injury Report Grows -- Again
If I was a CB, I would not want to get signed here. I wouldn't want to blow out my knee or get injured.
