Re: The Rams Insane?
For Fun sake lets assume the "rumor" is true and DA is now a TE. Its possible to pull off with a double TE set and before the snap of the ball he can go in motion to...(SURPRISE) the WR slot. Or he could not block and just run an inside rout. Either way, its possible.
Long term, it appears to be a bad idea. DA wants to make as much $$$ as he can while his limbs are still attacked--can't fault him for that. However this is a gimmick trick to keep a player...the question is that after his transition period can the Rams Franchise tag him? And at what point do the lawyers and Union get involved?

Re: The Rams Insane?
DA has a better chance of getting the Franchise Tag as a punt returner than he does of getting it as a TE... better yet I wonder what a Franchised Long Snapper makes per year hmmmmm

Re: The Rams Insane?
I would think any dispute would be taken care of by what you list him as, on the roster.
Danny is listed as a WR therefore the Rams could only tag him as such, even if he'd lined up at TE 80% of the time.
That'd be my guess.
