A fine and productive LB, George Andrews played for the Rams from 1979-84; was part of the SB XIV squad. [Alas, we almost made it all the way.] He was drafted in the first round by the Rams (19th overall). Andrews' NFL career was cut short by a severe knee injury that kept him from fully recovering. He had jersey No. 52.

Phil Olsen, Merlin's younger brother, played DT alongside our HOF No. 74 from 1971-72.

One does not get to see two NFL DL kindred playing on the same line of scrimmage too often! In fact, according to what I've read, this is the only time in NFL history this has ever happened.

Phil had jersey No. 72 and also worked at DE in '73-74 before being traded in '75.

This OT, Ty Nsekhe has now 'entered' our list having played a couple of regular season games last year, jersey No. 60.

At 6-8" - 325 lbs, he'll certainly give NFL rookie hopeful Terrell Brown a run for his money!

From 1991 to '98 Roman Phifer was a Rams LB -- and he just missed the Super Bowl!

    Big No. 58.

Rams had Kyle Turley at RT in 2003-04, No. 68. Good tackle he was, and quite a character!

Here with Kurt Warner in 'The Odd Couple'...

One of my favorite Rams guards of all time, Joe Scibelli, played for us from 1961-75, Pro Bowl quality, Captain and All-Pro leadership. A 15 year ironman football career, Rams from start to finish. Sadly, he passed away of cancer much too early at only 52 years of age.

Power sweep, Rams style! Pulling guards Tom Mack (No. 65 far left) and Scibelli, No. 71, lead the way.

One of our current LBs is Josh Hull from Penn State. He's got No. 56 and, maybe, a spot with the team.

A 13 year starter at left G for the Rams (1966-78), Tom Mack was a quiet warrior but extremely effective. Never missed a game in his all-Rams career. Perennial Pro Bowler that ultimately was enshrined in the NFL HOF. Jersey No. 65.

One of 'my' guys that helped make the Rams OL one of the best in the late 60s - mid 70s.

MLB Myron Pottios, was an excellent Pro Bowler component of the Rams formidable, and famous, defense from 1966-70. MP was wearing No. 66.

[NOTE: Twice I had a YT video inserted here, twice some jerk reported it as 'NFL violation'. Jerk! ]

Below is Pottios on his way to the sideline along with another Pro Bowler, Safety Eddie Meador, No. 21.

When Harvey Dahl was injured in December last year (biceps, but should be okay for 2013), OL Chris Williams played a couple of games as a replacement. Williams was a 1st round Draft pick by the Bears in 2008.

CW had No. 65 - it will be interesting to see if he makes the team to continue his career in STL.

Re: RAMS JERSEYS REMEMBERED, All-time: 2012 edition. Part III - IV

Of the few players coming from Cleveland (1945) to continue with the L. A. Rams was Gil Bouley.

Bouley had No. 66 with both teams. He played Tackle until 1950*, just missing the 1951 NFL Champion team against -- wouldn't you know it, the Cleveland Browns. This was a little before the time when my Rams fanaticism set in but I enjoy the history nevertheless.

*.- Pro football players, for the most part, did not last more than seven years, maybe nine; 10 seasons was very rare. It was just too brutal.

Below is Bouley with his Cleveland Rams uniform. Clic on image.

A Rams back-up LB from 1969-72 was John Pergine, No. 52. He then followed HC George Allen to D.C.

With jersey No. 65 during 2001-02 was Frank García playing center and guard for the Rams in 27 games. However, I remember he was occasionally distracted, causing some terrible timing penalties - sometimes referred to as "False Start Frank". Yikes.
