Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Now on the list with No. 79 ... Mark LaVoir G/T that played with the Rams last year.

Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
"Let's see ... Stephen Spach ... Stephen Spach. Yup, you're on the list!" ^_^ Supported the Rams last year at TE with a No. 81 NFL shirt.

No doubt there will be quite a few player changes for 2012 under Fisher! But as the intro to this list reads, there have always been, and will always be, professional players of great renown as well as elements virtually unknown in any roster. Some played for 20 years, others for 20 minutes.
Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Veteran Justin Bannan came in last year to help at DT, used No. 95. http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.e1d/img/...ayers/6025.jpg
Rookie TE Lance Kendricks is wearing jersey 88. - http://static.foxsports.com/fe/image...x170/24834.jpg
Both of you are on the list! :)

Rookie receiver Greg Salas wears No. 87. ...Didn't shine as expected, but I'm still rooting for him in 2012!

Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Heroes of yesterday: Lamar Lundy, DE (played some pro TE). Entire NFL career was with the Rams (1957-69), wearing No. 85 as mainstay of the Fearsome / Fantastic Four. Big man at 6 ft 7", his long arms batted down quite a few passes.
http://image2.findagrave.com/photos/...7237376716.jpg -- http://www.indiana-football.org/images/lundyLA.jpg -- http://1450thesportsbuzz.com/Portals...bloodj_203.jpg
After Lundy, the next Rams player to don No. 85 was none other than the great Jack Youngblood whose HOF career merited this jersey to be retired.
http://www.freepicksbyemail.com/imag...ted_arrows.gif Question: Was there another Rams player before Lamar Lundy to use No. 85? ;)
Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Heroes from the past -- two of them from this group with No. 76: Big Bob Brown, HOF and Rams T in 1969-70. Boomer was a mean, strong, tough hombre. Quite smart too. His first tenure with the Rams they went undefeated 11-0 (14 game seasons). // Fast forward to 1997 -- another big, pancake-loving tackle, Orlando Pace, also wears No. 76 and is part of the SB XXXIV Champions team.

Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Speaking of No. 76, another of the founders of the Ferrocious Foursome was DT Rosey Grier, playing for the Rams 1963-66. Also known for his other less violent occupations: Actor, Christian minister (ordained), macrame / needlepoint artisan, and singer. Helped wrestle the handgun away from Bobby Kennedy's assassin the night of the murder in Los Angeles.

Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
Did you think we were going to leave Brandon Lloyd out of this list!?! No. 83 is currently being 'pulled away' by a couple of other teams but we'll see. Would sure be great, IMHO, to keep him as a starting receiver with the Rams!

Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
A good DT that we drafted in 2001: Ryan Pickett, No. 79. http://www.tsxdata.com/NFL/mugs/ryanpickett.jpg
Played five years with the Rams -- we should have kept him! Too bad.

T Jason Smith, No. 77. Hopefully he'll still be around the Rams locker room with a strong return.

WR Dane Looker scored a few TD, returned kicks and excellent ball holder too. Played seven years, all with the Rams (2002-08), No. 89.

A good back-up DE in 1967-68 was Gregg Schumacher, he only played two years in the NFL, both with the Rams, then injuries truncated his career much too early. I remember that No. 81 (seen below in game vs Vikings, Dec. '68: Rams 31- Vikes 3).
Re: Rams Jerseys Remembered. Part IV / IV: Numbers 76 - 99.
How about Ricky '1st Down' Proehl! Played five years with the Rams (1998-02), part of that historic GSOT. Very fine receiver. No. 87.

Also No. 87, TE Billy Truax, one of my early Rams heroes. He played with us 1964-70.

Drew Hill, WR, played his first five years in the NFL with the Rams (1979-84 sans '83), including our 1st SB. He used jersey 87. Sadly, he died too early at age 54 last year.
