I completely agree if the rams play like they did in the 4th quarter we win easy.

Re: The Rams' Losing Streak Ends Next Week In Jacksonville
Is that going to be the first NFL game that is blacked out out in both markets?

The return of Torry Holt!
It will be a close game, i think the main thing is we have to reduce the amount of turnovers and penalties, and keep MJD from breaking any long runs

I hope you're right Av. ...and it's going to happen sooner or later, might as well be next week. This team isn't getting beat in as much as it's beating itself. Too many dumb penalties, too many dumb turnovers. Today was a perfect example. Two turnovers in the redzone, a fumble return for 6.
They continued to play hard even to the end, and sooner or later, that effort will pay off.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Re: The Rams' Losing Streak Ends Next Week In Jacksonville
well you could say weve beaten two teams already this year..sadly it was ourselves we beat on both occassions..

i do agree tho..next week is definately a game we can win..if we can keep the turnovers to a minimum..say 1 (probably unrealistic to expect none) then i think we will win. just seems that their strengths are something we are suited to cope with..and well..their D dont look nothing like it used to.

I agree Av. I said it right after the game.
We looked much better today. There's no question we are getting better.
If we can just avoid the turnovers, we will beat Jacksonville. For the first time this season, I truly believe we will win.

I hope youre right...
If Boller starts, we lose.
If Bulger starts, we have a lesser chance of losing.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

I know that to be a Ram fan these days you need to be an eternal optimist, but c'mon. They have shown little attention to detail this season, resulting in stupid penalties and turnovers that end every game before it starts. This is a coaching issue and not a talent issue. I saw little in the game versus Minn to make me believe the Rams are competent enough to win a close game. They are simply terrible.

Re: The Rams' Losing Streak Ends Next Week In Jacksonville
I know. I hear ya. Here's the thing, though:
This time, the turnovers and penalties were THE difference this time. The offense moved the ball well (finally), winning the time of possession battle. There were MULTIPLE sustained drives. When was the last time we were able to say that? They are getting better, and today was a huge step up.
Here's a fun stat: The same Squawks that blanked the Rams 28-0 just pitched another shutout to our next opponent 41-0.[SIGPIC]http://www.stickershoppe.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/MLRPANCmini.jpg[/SIGPIC]This is for Randy! GO BRM!

Re: The Rams' Losing Streak Ends Next Week In Jacksonville
yeah, i said this awhile ago, we match up pretty well with them. in other words, they just aren't that good. if the o-line protects like they did today and we don't fumble in the redzone like 4 times or whatever we should win this game.

If we can stop shooting outself in the foot over and over and over, the Rams will win that game, and win by 10+.
We are not good enough where we can get away with making a stupid penalty every now and then and turning the ball over. However I feel the team can win as long as they avoid those dumb mistakes.

Re: The Rams' Losing Streak Ends Next Week In Jacksonville
I think you might be right Av. This is our best chance for a win so far for sure, Jacksonville are just not very good, I don't even think the Seahawks are that good (Hasselbeck was brilliant last night though) and look how that game went - I like our chances against them.
Boy do we ever need this win - I don't think any one of us care about losing as many as possible in order to improve our draft position or any of that right now. We NEED a win. BAD. Losing only breeds more losing, let's snap that ugly streak of 14 or whatever it is before we get the record for consecutive losses.
All I care about this week is getting a win!
