I swear, if Bulger plays we have a CHANCE.

Defense needs to step up though. They're doing decent, but we need to keep the scoring to a minimum.

Well, if there is one game on the schedule that bodes well for a win....this one is it.

Sorry but I'm going with wishful thinking. The "any given Sunday" rule is in effect but the Jags are a significantly better team and I'll predict they win by 12.

The Rams are starting to REALLY fall apart at DT and that's going to deplete a strong defense. If Incognito continues to play like he did this week, we'll be starting Null in a few weeks.

    17-6 rams
In the 4th quarter? You mean when the Vikes were playing bench players.

I'm glad some of the clan have found something to give them hope. I on the other hand have only seen more and more reason to give up on hope. Not interested in the Rams winning at this time just want to see some talent and something to build on.

But the Rams were awesome against their backups.

Jax have a terrible pass rush and a terrible secondary, hopefully we will see Bulger tear it up to the score of multiple TDs

The way we will win this game is if our offensive playcalling is aggressive. Jacksonville is not a good team. We're going to have so many chances offensively to dominate this team, but if Shurmur goes back to the conservative plays, that cuts down almost all our chances.

I want to see a deep pass on first down. No more of the classic run, run, pass, then punt schemes..

More playactions, more right down the middle runs for Jackson, more screens, more deep passes, more trick plays.

Hopefully it does, but if doesn't then we are just that terrible.

The Jags are the worst defense the Rams have met yet but can they score more than 1 TD? How can a team be 5 games into a season without a rushing TD?

Maurice Jones-Drew alone has scored more TDs than the entire Rams offense after 5 games. The Rams are 23rd in rushing defense.

    Not exactly.

The Rams are 23rd in yards/game allowed rushing, but that is due, to a large extent, by the fact that opposing teams, who have had big leads, run the ball a lot against the Rams.

In a better measure, yards per carry allowed, the Rams are tied for 14th in the NFL, allowing 4.0 ypc (same as the Redskins, who spent $$$ on the best DT in football).

I think the real issue with the defense continues to be the lack of pass rush. If the Rams can address that, the defense could become quite good.

I'm not disagreeing but the same sort of stuff works with the Jags. They are allowing 3.8 ypc (better than the Rams) yet are considered a horrible defense.

There are not many winnable games left on the schedule. This is definately one of them. I say load the box up stop the run and make Garrard beat us. Other possible winning games are @Detroit,vs Cardinals,vs Texans and vs the Whiners. Other than that we might be in trouble for a win.

Too many people are talking about how good/bad Jacksonville is. To me the only question that matters is this: Do the Rams come into the game focused and fired up? If so, then they have a chance. If they don't drastically cut down on the penalties and turnovers, it doesn't even matter what the other team does.

I am a Jags fan, and I am saying that you have a chance to win. The way you do it is by taking advantage of our weak spot: secondary. I've heard of teams rebounding after losses like ours in big ways, but still, you have a great shot at tossing it deep down the field.

We are a very, very young team; youngest in the NFL. I know nobody in St. Louis gives two cents about the Jags because of the lack of attention/history, but the team will be a great team eventually once the rookies adjust. Take advantage and it will be a good show. (I hate seeing a team lose 5 straight games, because I know what it does to the fans)
