Pit should be a loss, the whiners won both on SEA last year, Baltimore should be a loss, Giants are 0-2 and aren't looking good with all those injuries, and they won't be healthier then, and NO looks like the 05 version rather than the 06.

I'm seeing them at at worst 4-3, probably 5-2.

Anytime you start 0-2 your in trouble. Especially when those first 2 games were at home.

I'm not saying its a good thing to be 0-2, but we are not dead yet.

They say 9-7 is going to take the west, we still have some life.

Good point... rather have 2 teams at 1-1 than 2 teams at 2-0, at least Zona made this weekend just that tad easier to get by on..

I have to question this logic. So this loss isn't so bad based on the prediction that the 9ers will lose games in the upcoming weeks to tough teams like Pitt and Baltimore??? What is the prediction for the Rams when they face these SAME teams? I mean seriously, at this point its fair to say that every expected loss for SF is an expected loss for the Rams as well, so I am not sure how this eases the seriousness of the hole the Rams are already in this season.

Yes, in hindsight we should/could be 2-0,

    Woulda, coulda, shoulda!!!!

Reality though tells us were sat at 0-2 and reality outweights hindsight :\

No I would much rather see a young whinners team be 2-0 then have the Hags be 2-0, knowing they have won the west lately.

I'm just pointing out that the whinners do not have a cake walk and are not going to run away with it.

I am not sure how this eases the seriousness of the hole the Rams are already in this season.
It does not! We have to get going!

    Rams loss not so bad
    Its still BAD!

Yeah, but the same "non cake walk", must be walked by the rams and they have to do it from behind two games. For the whinners, starting off with two wins against divisional opponents is just about the best possible scenario they could have, because more than likely Pitt and Balt are going to sweep this division.

What is really sad about this game is how much the coaching affected both teams, I would say that the 9ers offensive play calling was pathetic at best and their were also some questionable calls by the rams (i.e. spiking ball on last drive). Either way there were embarrassing moments for both teams today and even with the win, the 9ers shouldnt be too proud.

This much is true, Jackie. So glad Sawks lost today -- and on a last minute FG! Some of their own medicine.

But I'm still hurting inside. Today's loss makes next week's game, for me, A MUST.

the season is 2 weeks old and we are winless and 2 games behind and would lose the tiebreaker since the niners just beat us,so you could say we are 3 games behind the leaders,so what part of this is not so bad,you ASSUME these other teams will lose some games against certain teams and you also assume we can beat those same certain teams,oh ok I understand now.

are they going 16-0? oh now I get it, it over.

Two weeks old 14 weeks to still be played.

tiebreaker . I think we still paly them again. They still have four more division games to play. We gave 5.

Well yeah, we have to win some games along the way.

Re: Rams loss not so bad

What's done is done and we've arrived at the unwelcome 0-2.

It's a big hole to be in and one that we've arrived at largely through untimely turnovers, injuries to the offensive line and good play on behalf of our opponents. All you can do in such circumstances, as most of the players have said is to take it a game at a time and trust in your ability and team spirit to see you through.

We have ability and as I believe Witherspoon has said, there is an element of cohesiveness to the team which is good to see. So, again , I have to say that there is hope. Lose again next week, and that hope will dim slightly.

There are bright spots to build upon and I trust that the coaching staff will do that, my only concern right now is our extensive injury and suspension list.

Its hard to make a royal flush with half a pack of cards.

I'll concede that next week has become vitally important.

    :l
