The New York Times reports St. Louis Rams RB Marshall Faulk is a potential salary cap victim.
If this happened. Do you know how many fans would be pissed?

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
The Rams are something like $10 mil under the cap. If Marshall doesn't come back, it will be his choice.
I wouldn't put too much into what's posted in the NY Times.

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
We are not going to cut faulk for cap reasons. I read the article when it came out. the article itself, rather than just the chart, referred to cap cuts or retirements.

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
Well, I guess that, technically, every player under contract is a "potential cap victim." Its just that, with some, the potential is greater than with others.
In Faulk's case, he's a very very very low potential cap victim.

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
After Jackson's performance this year, I'd go with the almost impossible that Faulk is a cap victim! Faulk will be the go to guy if he returns. Jackson on the other hand, Well Linehan will have to turn around to look for Jackson on the bench if he even needs him!

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
Yea, Jackson sucks. He only managed 10 TDs, nearly 1400 yards, 43 receptions, and 4.1 YPC behind a line, 80% of which was either a rookie or broke-down old guy. That Jackson is terrible. Let's get rid of the 22-year-old and make the 33-year-old the "go to guy". :O

Yeah, he shouldn't just be benched, he should be cut! No, he should be publicly flogged!

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
I challenge anyone who would like to bench or cut steven jackson to go on the seahawks board (seahawks.net), post that thought and watch them laugh their asses off. We are our own harshest critics. Every other team in the league thinks he is a stud.

Re: Rams | M. Faulk potential cap victim
This is exactly what I've heard. If anything, we've been castigated for not using him to the best of his abilities. Martz's leaving has frightened some around the league. They're afraid we'll start playing to our potential now.
