Rams Mascot?

Howdy all,

I have been a fan of the Rams since they came to town, before then, did anyone really care about the LA Rams? Ok, maybe you did, but I didn't, it was Cardinals and then Rams. I come to you all today to ask for some insight. I had contacted the Rams in the past about them having a mascot and was told that there was no interest on the team's end in having one, that they tried in the innaugural St. Louis season and didn't get much response, so they canned it.
I received the same stuff from the Blues (minus the ever having a mascot part) and look what I badgered them into. No, Louie was not my idea, I gave many, they went with something else. Ok, so back to the Rams.
I'd like to see what folks think of the possibility of a Rams mascot. I know it isn't as important as the Rams turning things around, but as a mascot trying to make it into the pros, it is in my important things category.
All I ask is that if you have something to say, keep it positive. If you don't like the idea, say so and say why, but don't resort to childishness. And please, keep things on topic, no rambling off into Draft Picks and whatnot.

Thanks guys and gals.

Chris

After last year, a little blond girl with a staff and her favorite pet might be appropriate...

Re: Rams Mascot?

I think it would be nice if the organization could come up with ways to encourage the crowd to get more into the game at the dome. A mascot wouldn't have been my first thought on how to get them going, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. Do many NFL teams have mascots?

I dont know how many teams have mascots, but some of them get major fan appreciation. Look at the Mascot from Jacksonville, he does the craziest stuff, and it gets the fans into it. Mascots are capable of motivating our fans.

I say we should get a mascot (ofcourse of a Ram). A team color Ram. Just when he is out there performing, give him a jersey that has his own personal number and name on it. Then during half time have him shoot tshirts into the crowd.

Sometimes it is fun watching mascots. Like the one for the Phoenix Coyotes. So I say we should go for one. If the team is worried about a salary for that guy, they're crazy. He can freaking work for 7 dollars an hour.

Re: Rams Mascot?

I am adamantly opposed to the Rams having a mascot. Mascots are the scourge of western civilization. Especially the ones that have a goofy face...like the one for the Cowboys.

Help stamp out mascots in our lifetime!

OK, unless we get a real live ram and dye his fur blue.

Re: Rams Mascot?

Thanks everyone that replied. I am currently working towards having a Ram costume made for this purpose. He will be a light tan, off white in color with blue and gold work on the face and on the horns.

Re: Rams Mascot?

Because it's ugly as sin. The mascot will not look like that. I want him to look more like Ragey of the River City Rage in that he looks like a player. He is wearing an actual uniform and the costume itself isn't baggy. So for what I have planned, he will be more realistic looking and not quite as... looking as the picture. But maybe we can have him spitting out a flower....maybe. This is a reply to the post showing the rams mascot from I am guessing LA and the first year here. Thank you for that picture too.
