Bernie is a total idiot. If I recall correctly, he spent a better part of the season defending Bradford, and I think he even wrote an article after the season to that purpose as well. He does this mainly to address the internet and radio talk show call-in freaks who think if you go 29/30 with 29 TDs, you should be cut cause even a scrub like Clemens would have hit that 30th TD instead of throwing it in a way where the guy was tackled at the 1.
I have no idea why he addresses this crowd like they are the majority of the fan base. However with this article all he does is stir up the rabble-rousers. Blah blah blah, Bradford wasn't the league MVP, cut him. I get it, his salary is high. It was a system contract, a system they got rid of because of how stupid it was but it was too late. Deal with it.
Biggest non-story of the year so far.
Austin Davis who?
I believe the title is a misprint, it should read "Rams May Have A Healthy QB Duo In 2013", not "QB Duel"... well at least I hope that's what Bernie meant :|
Bradford will have a passer rating over 100 by mid-season and then will shockingly get benched. Austin Davis will take over and lead us to the Superbowl. ;)
I think we all knew that Clemons doesn't give value to the Rams in the next 3 years...
I would rather have Davis as the backup and draft a young guy this year to develop --
Lastly, don't overlook that Watkins appears to be ready to play this year...this is really huge for us.
I think this allows us to know we will at very least have depth on the line.
Trust the stash and the draft picks will come...
This, Bernie... THIS is why you don't write to the fringe. Because then we have to put up with it.
Im pretty sure "the Bradford of the last three years" won a ROY award. Right? Ya, thanks.
It would hellp your cause if you actually knew anything about football in general.
From what I understand, your just a glass half empty personality thats impossible to please. Yet, you want this backup to run the team because Warner did it so its bound to happen again right? Wrong. Hes not the next Kurt Warner, hes a backup who doesnt have the talent of Warner, or Bruce, Holt, and Faulk to throw to. You've seen him play in a couple scrimmages and now you want him to take the reigns?
This is a joke. Atleast have an argument other than "Bernie said so".
I'm going to end this farce of a thread. Waste of everyone's time.
